Abstract

INDONESIA : Pupuk organik cair yang berasal dari limbah kulit buah nanas dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber nutrisi tambahan bagi tanaman khususnya tanaman selada romaine, sehingga dapat mengurangi penggunaan pupuk kimia. Tujuan penelitian ini yakni untuk mengetahui efektivitas serta taraf konsentrasi pupuk organik cair limbah kulit buah nanas terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman selada romaine. Berbagai perlakuan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi perlakuan A = POC 5%, B = 10%, C = 15%, D = POC 5% + urea 2,3 g tanaman-1, E = POC 10% + urea 2,3 g tanaman-1, F = POC 15% + urea 2,3 g tanaman-1, G = urea 2,3 g tanaman-1. Rancangan percobaan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 7 taraf perlakuan yang di ulang sebanyak 4 kali. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis sidik ragam, jika F hitung lebih besar dari F tabel, maka dilakukan uji lanjut DMRT pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pupuk organik cair limbah kulit buah nanas tidak dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman selada romaine, namun dosis pupuk urea 2,3 g tanaman-1 mampu memberikan hasil terbaik untuk pertumbuhan tanaman selada romaine. ENGLISH : Liquid organic fertilizer derived from pineapple peel waste can be used as a source of additional nutrition for plants, especially romaine lettuce, thereby reducing the use of chemical fertilizers. The aim of this research was to determine the effectiveness and level of concentration of liquid organic fertilizer from pineapple peel waste on the growth and yield of romaine lettuce plants. The treatments used in this research include treatments A = POC 5%, B = 10%, C = 15%, D = POC 5% + urea 2,3 g plant-1, E = POC 10% + urea 2,3 g plant-1, F = POC 15% + urea 2,3 g plant-1, G = urea 2,3 g plant-1. The experimental design carried out in this research was a Randomized Group Design (RGD) with 7 treatment levels which were repeated 4 times. The data analysis used was analysis of variance, if the result of test was greater than the F table, the post hoc test Duncan was carried out at the 5% level. The research results showed that liquid organic fertilizer from pineapple peel waste could not increase the growth and yield of romaine lettuce plants, however, an urea fertilizer dose of 2,3 g plant-1 was able to provide the best results for the growth of romaine lettuce plants.
