Abstract

ENGLISH : The expulsion of rice-eating bird pests continues to be done either chemically or traditionally. Farmers used to make traditional tools using several strands of rope tied to the cans to make a sound when the rope was pulled. farmers have to stay in the rice fields to move the traditional midges and shouting as loudly as possible which will scare the birds away. Along with the times, bird repellent methods can be applied using a microcontrollerbased system and can be collaborated with supporting applications on smartphones. This study uses the nodeMCU ESP8266 as the system control center, the HCSR04 sensor to detec the presence of bird pest objects and the Blynk application as a user interface that can be accessed by users via smartphones to see indicators and distances of pest presence. The prototype of this rice-eating bird repellent device was successfully carried out with bird responses at a distance of 1 meter with a frequency of 24.67 KHz to 33.41 KHz the birds moved passively and at a frequency of 35.37 KHz to 41.12 KHz birds tended to be passive. The result of this research is the system performs a process of monitoring the presence of pests and the distance of pests whose information can be seen through the Blynk application.
