Abstract

INDONESIA : Kasus pembunuhan yang dilakukan oleh Inspektur Jenderal (Irjen) Polisi Ferdy Sambo terhadap Brigadir Polisi Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat mendapat banyak perhatian publik. Pada Agustus 2022, terdapat kejanggalan mengenai kasus ini, seperti : adanya puluhan polisi yang terseret atas dugaan melanggar kode etik terkait pembunuhan Brigadir Yosua dan perubahan keterangan pada Berita Acara Pemeriksaan (BAP). Dengan adanya realitas-realitas baru yang terungkap pada kasus Ferdy Sambo ini, dibutuhkan analisis framing sebagai salah satu cara untuk mengetahui realitas yang dikontruksikan oleh para jurnalis. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pembingkaian berita kriminal kasus Ferdy Sambo di media online Kompas.com dan Detik.com.Secara rinci, tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui bagaiamana struktur sintaksis, skrip, tematik dan retoris pada berita kriminal kasus Ferdy Sambo di media online Kompas.com dan Detik.com. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teori framing dengan analisis framing model Zhongdang Pan dan Gerald Kosicki. Kemudian, menggunakan paradigma konstruktivisme dan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan studi dokumentasi pada berita di media Kompas.com dan Detik.com untuk mendeskripsikan proses penelitian kedua media tersebut dalam membingkai berita kriminal kasus Ferdy Sambo. Hasil dari penelitian ini meliputi empat hal yakni : (1) Sintaksis, media Kompas.com lebih menekankan fakta Ferdy Sambo sebagai tersangka atas kasus pembunuhan Brigadir J. Sedangkan media Detik.com cenderung lebih menekankan fakta Ferdy Sambo sebagai dalang atas kematian Brigadir J. (2) Skrip, media Kompas.com lebih menonjolkan unsur Why dan How dengan selalu mencantumkan informasi sebelumnya sebagai pelengkap dan penekanan mengenai apa yang terjadi. Sedangkan media Detik.com lebih menonjolkan unsur What dan Who dalam penyampaian beritanya, lebih singkat dan fokus terhadap informasi terbaru. (3) Tematik, media Kompas.com mengangkat tema mengenai Ferdy Sambo sebagai tersangka atas kasus pembunuhan Brigadir J dengan pengutipan dari Kepolisian, Menko Polhukam dan Komnas HAM. Sedangkan media Detik.com mengangkat tema Ferdy Sambo sebagai dalang atas kematian Brigadir J dengan pengutipan dari Kepolisian saja. (4) Retoris, media Kompas.com menggunakan penekanan pada kata “dalang” dan “jenderal bintang dua”. Sedangkan media Detik.com menggunakan penekanan pada kata “otak”. ENGLISH : The murder case committed by Police Inspector General (Irjen) Ferdy Sambo against Police Brigadier Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat received a lot of public attention. In August 2022, there were irregularities regarding this case, such as: the presence of dozens of police officers who were arrested on suspicion of violating the code of ethics regarding the murder of Brigadier Yosua and changes in the information in the Investigation Report (BAP). With the new realities revealed in the Ferdy Sambo case, framing analysis is needed as a way to find out the reality constructed by journalists. The purpose of this research is to find out how the criminal news about the Ferdy Sambo case is framed in the online media Kompas.com and Detik.com. In detail, the purpose of this research is to find out how the syntactic, script, thematic and rhetorical structure of the criminal news about the Ferdy Sambo case in the media online Kompas.com and Detik.com. The method in this research uses framing theory with the framing analysis model of Zhongdang Pan and Gerald Kosicki. Then, using the constructivism paradigm and qualitative approach. The data collection technique was carried out by studying documentation on news in the media Kompas.com and Detik.com to describe the research process of the two media in framing the criminal news about the Ferdy Sambo case. The results of this research include four things, namely: (1) Syntactically, the Kompas.com media places more emphasis on the fact that Ferdy Sambo is a suspect in the murder case of Brigadier J. Meanwhile, the Detik.com media tends to emphasize more on the fact that Ferdy Sambo is the mastermind behind the death of Brigadier J. (2) Script, Kompas.com media emphasizes the Why and How elements by always including previous information as a complement and emphasis on what is happening. Meanwhile, Detik.com media emphasizes the What and Who elements in its news delivery, is shorter and focuses on the latest information. (3) Thematic, Kompas.com media raised the theme of Ferdy Sambo as a suspect in the murder case of Brigadier J with a quote from the Police, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs and National Human Rights Commission. Meanwhile, Detik.com media raised the theme of Ferdy Sambo as the mastermind behind the death of Brigadier J, citing only the police. (4) Rhetorically, Kompas.com media uses emphasis on the words "mastermind" and "two-star general". Meanwhile, Detik.com media uses emphasis on the word "brain".
