Abstract

INDONESIA : Pembelajaran memiliki tujuan sebagai sarana untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dengan cara yang optimal dan harus dilaksanakan dengan langkah yang terukur juga terstruktur. Model dan media pembelajaran yang digunakan dapat berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada pembelajaran menggunakan model snowball throwing berbantu media cardboard pada materi sistem gerak. Penelitian dilakukan di salah satu MTs Negeri di Kabupaten Ciamis dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan quasi experiment design. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 56 siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil belajar kognitif diperoleh melalui pretest-posttest yang mengacu pada Taksonomi Bloom versi revisi (C1-C6). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh nilai n-gain pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,63 (sedang) dan 0,60 (sedang) pada kelas kontrol. Hasil uji statistik Mann-Withney diperoleh nilai Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,029 < 0,05. Maka dapat dikatakan bahwa hasil posttest pada kelas eksperimen dan kontrol tidak identik. Model dan media pembelajaran yang digunakan dapat merangsang siswa untuk berpikir dan beranalisis serta memahami materi secara sistematis. Pembelajaran menggunakan model snowball throwing berbantu media cardboard berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa. ENGLISH : Learning has a purpose as a means to improve students' abilities in an optimal way and must be implemented in measurable and structured steps. The learning models and media used can affect student cognitive learning outcomes. This study aims to describe the improvement of students' cognitive learning outcomes in learning using snowball throwing models assisted by cardboard media on motion system materials. The research was conducted in one of the State MTs in Ciamis Regency with a quantitative approach using quasi experiment design. The research sample amounted to 56 students selected by purposive sampling technique. Cognitive learning outcomes are obtained through pretest-posttest which refers to the revised version of Bloom's Taxonomy (C1-C6). Based on the results of the study, n-gain values were obtained in the experimental class of 0.63 (medium) and 0.60 (medium) in the control class. The results of the statistical test (Mann-Withney) obtained an Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.029 < 0.05. So it can be said that the posttest results in the experimental and control classes are not identical. The learning models and media used can stimulate thinking and analysis and understand the material systematically. Learning using the snowball throwing model assisted by cardboard media has a positive effect on students' cognitive learning outcomes.
