Abstract

ENGLISH : Illocutionary act is a communication behavior performed by the speaker by making the listener understand that it is the speaker's intention, but sometimes the way children speak is more difficult to understand than adults, both in words, language, actions, and ways of thinking. Therefore, this study aims to determine the types and functions of illocutionary acts used by children in the movie Turning Red. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with content analysis approach. This method is appropriate to be used as a method in a study because it contains elements that are very important to observe. Searle's theory (1979) is used to identify the types of illocutionary speech acts and Leech's theory (1983) is used to classify the functions of illocutionary speech acts. The result of this research shows 82 types of illocutionary acts that contain 5 types of illocutionary speech acts based on Searle's theory, namely 25 data of representative, 20 data of directive, 13 data of commissive, 20 data of expressive, and 4 data of declarative. Furthermore, there are 35 functions of illocutionary acts based on Leech's theory, namely 12 data of collaborative, 9 data of competitive, 11 data of convivial and 3 data of conflictive. INDONESIA : Tindak ilokusi adalah sebuah perilaku komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh pembicara dengan membuat pendengar memahami maksud pembicara, namun terkadang cara anak- anak berbicara lebih sulit di mengerti daripada orang dewasa, baik dalam perkataan, bahasa, tindakan, maupun cara berpikirnya. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis dan fungsi tindak ilokusi yang digunakan oleh anak anak dalam film Turning Red. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis isi. Metode ini tepat digunakan sebagai metode dalam sebuah penelitian karena mengandung unsur-unsur yang sangat penting untuk diamati. Teori Searle (1979) digunakan untuk mengedintifikasi jenis tindak tutur ilokusi dan teori Leech (1983) digunakan untuk mengklasifikasi fungsi tindak tutur ilokusi. Penelitian ini menemukan 82 jenis tindak ilokusi yang menunjukan 5 jenis tindak tutur ilokusi berdasarkan teori Searle yaitu 25 data representative, 20 data directive, 13 data commissive, 20 data expressive, 4 data declarative. Selanjutnya ditemukan 35 fungsi tindak ilokusi berdasarkan teori leech yaitu 12 data collaborative, 9 data competitive, 11 data convivial dan 3 data conflictive.
