Abstract

ENGLISH : This research aims to how constative and performative speech acts used in Joe Biden's speech in Warsaw and find out performative forms of speech act used by Joe Biden in his speech in Warsaw. Data collection techniques use observation, documentation and literature study techniques. And the data analysis techniques used in this research are data collection, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The conclusions of this research are: (1) the use of constative and performative theories to search for utterances containing speech acts can be carried out and 53 datums were found. (2) from 53 datums, 59 data were found containing performative utterances with an emphasis on Directive (7), Declarative (18), Commissive (11), Assertive (19), and Expressive (4) speech acts. INDONESIA : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menunjukkan bagaimana tindak tutur konstatif dan performatif digunakan dalam pidato Joe Biden di Warsawa dan menemukan bentuk tindak tutur performatif yang digunakan Joe Biden dalam pidatonya di Warsawa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan qualitative dengan jenis content analysis deskriptif. Tehknik pengumpulan data menggunakan Teknik observasi, dokumentasi dan studi literatur. Dan Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengumpulan data, penyajian data dan penarik kesimpulan. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah: (1) penggunaan teori constative dan performative untuk mencari ujaran yang mengandung speech act dapat dilakukan dan ditemukan sebanyak 53 datum. (2) dari 53 datum, ditemukan 59 data yang berisi ujaran performative dengan penekanan speech act Directive (7), Declaratif (18), Commissives (11), Assertif (19), dan Expresif (4).
