Abstract

INDONESIA : Caisim merupakan tanaman hortikultura dari keluarga kubis-kubisan yang banyak digemari oleh berbagai lapisan masyarakat karena memiliki nilai gizi yang tinggi serta harga yang terjangkau. Produktivitas caisim masih kurang stabil karena adanya serangan Organisme Pengganggu Tanaman (OPT) dari Plutella xylostella. Salah satu cara untuk menekan serangan hama tersebut adalah dengan penggunaan suspensi ekstrak Beauveria bassiana sebagai pengendalian alternatif berbasis hayati. Penelitian ini bertempat di Stasiun Karantina Pertanian Kelas 1 Bandung, Laboratorium Terpadu UIN Sunan Gunung Djati, dan Kebun Percobaan Ciparanje Universitas Padjajaran. Bertepatan pada bulan April 2021 sampai November 2022. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan yang terdiri dari perlakuan P0 (kontrol), P1 (15 ml suspensi Beauveria bassiana), P2 (20 ml suspensi Beauveria bassiana), P3 (25 ml suspensi Beauveria bassiana), dan P4 (30 ml suspensi Beauveria bassiana). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aplikasi suspensi ekstrak Beauveria bassiana tidak berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan caisim yang diinvestasikan hama Plutella xylostella. ENGLISH : Mustard greens, belonging to the cruciferous family, are a horticultural crop widely favored by various segments of society due to their high nutritional value and affordable price. However, the productivity of mustard greens is not consistently stable due to infestations by Plant Pest Organisms such as Plutella xylostella. One approach to mitigate such pest infestations is the utilization of Beauveria bassiana extract suspension as an alternative bio-based control method. This research was conducted at the Agricultural Quarantine Station Class 1 Bandung, Integrated Laboratory of Sunan Gunung Djati State Islamic University, and Ciparanje Experimental Garden of Padjajaran University, spanning from April 2021 to November 2022. The research applied Randomized Complete Block Design with five treatments and five replications, including treatment P0 (control), P1 (15 ml Beauveria bassiana suspension), P2 (20 ml Beauveria bassiana suspension), P3 (25 ml Beauveria bassiana suspension), and P4 (30 ml Beauveria bassiana suspension). The research results indicate that the application of Beauveria bassiana extract suspension does not significantly affect the growth of mustard greens infested by Plutella xylostella.
