Abstract

INDONESIA Stigma yang muncul mengenai bentuk tubuh ideal di lingkungan memicu perasaan tidak puas dengan tubuh yang dimiliki. Fenomena ini juga dialami oleh para model, padahal dalam kehidupannya model dianggap memiliki penampilan yang ideal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara perbandingan sosial, kepercayaan diri dan ketidakpuasan tubuh pada siswa sekolah Model X. Populasi pada penelitian ini berjumlah 25 orang dan seluruhnya dijadikan sampel atau disebut sampling jenuh. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kuantitatif menggunakan analisis korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertama, terdapat hubungan antara perbandingan sosial dengan ketidakpuasan tubuh dengan koefisien korelasi positif sebesar 0.517. Kedua, terdapat hubungan antara kepercayaan diri dan ketidakpuasan tubuh dengan koefisien korelasi negatif sebesar 0.620. Ketiga, terdapat hubungan antara perbandingan sosial dengan kepercayaan diri dengan koefisien korelasi positif sebesar 0.467. ENGLISH The stigma that arises about the ideal body shape in the environment triggers feelings of dissatisfaction with the body owned. This phenomenon is also experienced by models, even though in their lives models are considered to have an ideal appearance. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between social comparison, self-confidence and body dissatisfaction in Model X school students. The population in this study amounted to 25 people and all of them were sampled or called saturated sampling. The research design used was quantitative using Pearson correlation analysis. The results showed that first, there was a relationship between social comparison and body dissatisfaction with a positive correlation coefficient of 0.517. Second, there is a relationship between self-confidence and body dissatisfaction with a negative correlation coefficient of 0.620. Third, there is a relationship between social comparison and self-confidence with a positive correlation coefficient of 0.467.
