Abstract
Interpersonal meaning is related to the position of the speaker which is shown through their wording called mood and modality in its clauses. Interpersonal Function determines the relationship and intimacy between the speaker with their audiences in the text with the type of modality that can be explored. The data analyzed in this research is the apology video by Felix Kjellberg titled ‘My Response’ made as his response to an Antisemitic accusation by WSJ. The method employed in this research is the descriptive qualitative method, focusing on deriving solutions from available data to address the problem at hand. The data is collected by the documentation method then also further, by using purposive sampling the video is divided based on the speech purpose. The research found that Felix tells his side of story use combination of declarative alongside with variant degree of modality to communicate his idea to the audiences. Additionally, interrogative and imperative mood use to interact with his audiences and establishing close connection with them. While the purpose of using the Interpersonal meaning is express Commitment, and gratitude and change the audience's judgment of him.
