Abstract

Various problems encountered in the cultivation of rice in rain-fed rice fields. Unpredictable weather changes are a major factor in the low productivity of rainfed lowland rice. Poor water quality and poor water availability during the dry season and excess water during the rainy season are a factor ineffesiensi rice farming. The need for identification of the rain problem and its penanggulanggan become the main points in this research. The methods used are survey, field observation and interview to some rice farmers in Cimencrang field, Bandung, West Java. Various efforts can be made to improve the productivity of rice can be done with intensive land treatment every change of planting season, as well as fertilization and extermination of pests. Three main aspects related to water pollution control strategy are: a. Aspects of management planning b. Institutional social aspects c. Environmental / ecological aspects. Formulation of survey results and observations in the field followed by in-depth interviews of water pollution control efforts are as follows: a. Community behavior contributes to the pollution of river water. b. Not optimal coordination between institutions related to water resources management and control of water pollution c. Required instruments at the policy level that can be used as guidelines for water pollution control programs. d. The need for real activities in the field either in the form of development of community sanitation system and vegetative conservation.
