Abstract

Laboratorium UPI Cibiru Elementary School, as an education institution in an elementary level, needs a class management in order to give the best services. Laboratorium UPI Cibiru Elementary School is one of which has preeminence in class management. The aim of this research is to describe the background, class planning, class implementation, and class evaluation of Laboratorium UPI Cibiru Elementary School. Classroom management is a management of class activities conducted consciously and systematically in order to maintain and create conducive atmosphere to achieve learning effectiveness. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used in this research are interview, observation, and document analysis. In addition, in analyzing data, this research uses description, and data validation is carried out by extension of participation, triangulation, counterpart check, resource materials, membercheck, detailed essay, dependence audit, and assurance audit. The results of the research show that Laboratorium UPI Cibiru Elementary School has a well-planned and structured class management with qualified teachers. Class planning of Laboratorium UPI Cibiru Elementary School more emphasize the emotional approach that in the implementatation of classroom the teachers take a position themselves as facilitators of they students and coorporating with counseling guidance in class monitoring. Definitely, to achieve a successful class management, appropriate strategies related to learning and teacher improvement of professionalism are necessary.
