Abstract
Android is the operating system for mobile phones based on Linux. Android provides an open platform for developers to create their own applications for use by a variety of mobile devices. Currently there are many applications that allow users to solve the problem of one application to determine the shortest path to a place. Not many applications to determine the shortest route to where a language course institutions, especially in the city of arrowroot. It is unfortunate that many people are not aware of the existence of language institutes, especially in the city of garut. Path tracking application aims to facilitate the user in finding the location sought. The algorithm used in the determination of the shortest path that is Al A * Algorithm. The A * algorithm is used in searching the route to be taken by calculating the distance of each path and taken the shortest distance resulting in the shortest route. The public needs to know the shortest route to where an institute of course language course in the city of garut, hence the application was formed to form the shortest route to the institution of language courses, especially in the city of garut using Algorithm A * based android to help people in finding the shortest route.
