Abstract

INDONESIA : Gen z yang tumbuh bersama dengan internet memiliki hubungan yang kompleks. Kurang aktifnya remaja akhir gen z dan kehati-hatiannya dalam menggunakan media sosial dapat menjadi sebab adanya kecemasan sosial pada individu, khususnya dalam menggunakan aplikasi tiktok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self-disclosure dan self-confidence terhadap kecemasan sosial pengguna tiktok pada remaja akhir gen z. Peneliti melibatkan 193 responden yang merupakan remaja akhir gen z, berusia 18 – 22 tahun dan aktif menggunakan media sosial tiktok. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan software SPSS 25. Hasil dari analisis menunjukan self-disclosure dan self-confidence secara bersamaan berpengaruh terhadap kecemasan sosial, hasil dari nilai f hitung sebesar 225.042 dengan nilai sig .000 < .05. Begitupun secara simultan, keduanya self-disclosure dan self-confidence memilliki nilai signifikan < .05 dengan nilai koefisian sama-sama berarah negatif, hal ini menunjukan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat self-disclosure dan self-confidence pada individu, maka akan semakin rendah tingkat kecemasan sosial pada individu, begitupun sebaliknya. ENGLISH : Gen Z who grew up with the internet has a complex relationship. The lack of activity in the late teens of Gen Z and their caution in using social media can cause social anxiety in individuals, especially in using the TikTok application. This study aims to determine the effect of self-disclosure and self-confidence on the social anxiety of TikTok users in late teens Gen Z. Researchers involved 193 respondents who are late teens of Gen Z, aged 18 – 22 years old, and actively use TikTok social media. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS 25 software. The results of the analysis showed that self-disclosure and self-confidence simultaneously affected social anxiety, the outcome of the f-value was calculated as 225,042 with a sig value of .000 < .05. Likewise, simultaneously, both self-disclosure and self-confidence have a significant value of <.05 with coefficient values both in the negative direction, this shows that the higher the level of self-disclosure and self-confidence in individuals, the lower the level of social anxiety in individuals, and vice versa.
