Abstract
The aim of this research was to examine how cognitive domain are reflected in the process of completing writing tasks in the Grade XI English textbook for Senior High School. The investigation was based on a revised version of Bloom's Taxonomy. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach and utilized documentation techniques to gather data. published by the Ministry of Education and Culture Indonesia in 2017. The author of this book is the book writing team of the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture, and this book is based on the 2013 curriculum. The Textbook consists of 8 chapter, 7 chapter of Enrichmend and 170 pages. The materials of each unit are organized into seven parts that are; 1) Pre–Activity, 2) Building Blocks, 3) Let's Practice, 4) Active Conversation, 5) Writing Connection, 6) Let's Create/Contribute, 7) Formative Assessment. The Researcher focused on just the writing task materials in the first and second semesters. The data were analyze using Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy cognitive table, encompassing data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The study's results demonstrated the realization of the six cognitive domain levels as outlined by Anderson and Krathwohl (2001) within the writing tasks of the English textbook published by The Ministry of Education and Culture Indonesia in 2017, Kemdikbud. Furthermor, the research concluded that the English textbook effectively incorporated all six cognitive domain levels.
