Abstract

Based on the background that highlights the significant role of Israeli media in shaping global perceptions regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, this study aims to understand Israeli media hegemony and its impact on global perceptions, as well as analyze the counter-propaganda strategies employed by Palestinians. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method to identify the tactics used by both sides. The findings indicate that Israel actively employs framing techniques, propaganda, and social media to achieve media hegemony in strengthening its position on the international stage. In response to this hegemony, Palestinians implement strategies such as citizen journalism, the use of social media, collaboration with alternative media, and the BDS movement. In conclusion, Palestinians seek to counteract the power of Israeli media by introducing alternative narratives that are more balanced and focused on raising global awareness of the situation on the ground.
