Abstract
This study examines the masculinity traits of the female main character in The 100 (2014) using Connel and Halberstam's theory of masculinity. The objectives of this study are first, to identify the characterization of the female main character in the film The 100 (2014) and second, to analyze and discuss the effects of Clarke's masculinity attitude on other characters in the film The 100 (2014). The data analysis method used in this research is qualitative which emphasizes on the meaning and interpretation on the object by using note-taking technique. The result of this research analysis is the representation of masculinity values from the main character, Clarke Griffin. There are four characteristics of masculinity associated by Connel found in Clarke, namely Leadership Qualities, Emotional Resilience, Physical Strength, and Taking risk and Courage so that by using Judith Halberstam's theory this can prove that Clarke as a female character in The 100 (2014) can adopt masculinity which is often associated exclusively with men.
