Abstract

Vocabulary acquisition is a key aspect of learning English as a Foreign Language (EFL), especially for seventh-grade students who are moving toward more advanced language skills. However, traditional vocabulary learning methods often fail to engage students effectively. This research explores the use of the Word-Wall application as a tool to enhance vocabulary learning for seventh-grade students. The study uses a qualitative with a case study approach, involving classroom observations and student interviews. The participants are 22 students from 7th grade of Junior High School at SMP Muhammadiyah 10 Bandung. The findings indicate that the use of Word Wall application significantly improved students' vocabulary retention and motivation. Students were more active in class, with showing better results in vocabulary tests compared to before studying Word Wall application. However, the research also revealed challenges such as limited access to devices and occasional internet issues, which affected the effectiveness of the app. The study concludes that Word-Wall application is a valuable tool for making vocabulary learning more interactive and enjoyable. It highlights the importance of incorporating digital tools in language education to engage students and improve learning outcomes.
