Abstract

INDONESIA: Citra merupakan aspek penting bagi sebuah institusi dalam membangun kepercayaan publik, termasuk di institusi pelayanan kesehatan militer. RSPAD Gatot Soebroto sebagai rumah sakit pusat TNI Angkatan Darat memiliki peran yang penting dalam memberikan pelayanan kesehatan kepada anggota TNI, pejabat negara, dan masyarakat. Berbagai pencapaian dan inovasi layanan kesehatan, serta komunikasi yang transparan menjadi bagian upaya dari rumah sakit dalam mempertahankan citra positif di mata publik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi komunikasi humas RSPAD Gatot Soebroto dalam mempertahankan citra positif sebagai rumah sakit pusat TNI Angkatan Darat dengan menggunakan konsep public relations yang dikemukakan oleh Harwood L. Childs (1940) yang terdiri dari strategi publikasi (strategy of publicity), strategi persuasi (strategy of persuasion), strategi argumentasi (strategy of argumentation), dan strategi citra (strategy of image). Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstruktivistik dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif untuk menggambarkan fenomena secara alamiah di lapangan melalui observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa humas RSPAD Gatot Soebroto melakukan beberapa startegi public relations, yaitu: (1) Strategy of publicity yang berfokus pada program kerja dan arahan pimpinan, pemilihan platform media sosial dan format konten, serta evaluasi publikasi, (2) Strategy of persuasion yang berfokus pada penyederhanaan bahasa dan edukasi, serta interaksi langsung dan komunitas penyintas, (3) Strategy of argumentation yang berfokus pada verifikasi informasi, penyampaian klarifikasi, serta pengendalian isu, (4) Strategy of image yang berfokus pada konsistensi pesan komunikasi dan komunikasi humanis. ENGLISH: Image is a crucial aspect for an institution in building public trust, including in military healthcare institutions. As the central hospital of the Indonesian Army, Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital plays a crucial role in providing healthcare services to TNI personnel, state officials, and the public. Various achievements and innovations in healthcare services, as well as transparent communication, are part of the hospital's efforts to maintain a positive image in the public eye. This study aims to analyze Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital's public relations communication strategy in maintaining a positive image as the central hospital of the Indonesian Army, using the public relations concept proposed by Harwood L. Childs (1940), which consists of a strategy of publicity, a strategy of persuasion, a strategy of argumentation, and a strategy of image. This study uses a constructivist paradigm with a qualitative descriptive approach to describe natural phenomena in the field through observation and in-depth interviews. The results show that the public relations department of Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital implemented several public relations strategies, namely: (1) a publicity strategy focused on work programs and leadership directives, the selection of social media platforms and content formats, and publication evaluation; (2) a persuasion strategy focused on simplifying language and education, as well as direct interaction with the survivor community; (3) an argumentation strategy focused on verifying information, providing clarification, and controlling issues; and (4) an image strategy focused on message consistency and humanistic communication.
