Abstract

INDONESIA: Media sosial telah menjadi arena utama penyebaran dan pertarungan narasi keagamaan di Indonesia, khususnya di kalangan generasi muda. Penelitian ini mengkaji gagasan moderasi beragama yang dikomunikasikan melalui konten video di akun YouTube GP Ansor kepada kalangan muda, dengan latar meningkatnya penggunaan media sosial sebagai sumber informasi keagamaan di satu sisi, dan maraknya konten ekstremisme digital yang mengancam kohesi sosial bangsa di sisi lain. Berbeda dengan organisasi kepemudaan lainnya, GP Ansor sebagai organisasi pemuda Islam terbesar di bawah naungan Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) hadir sebagai aktor strategis yang secara konsisten memproduksi konten moderasi beragama melalui platform YouTube. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif interpretatif dengan metode analisis semiotika Roland Barthes yang mencakup tiga tingkatan makna: denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos. Lima video korpus dipilih secara purposif dari akun YouTube GP Ansor yang diunggah pada periode Januari 2023 hingga Desember 2024 berdasarkan empat kriteria: keaslian akun, relevansi konten moderasi, keberagaman format dan genre, serta termasuk deretan video teratas dalam proses searching. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tiga temuan utama. Pertama, secara denotatif, konten YouTube GP Ansor membangun representasi moderasi beragama melalui penggabungan sistematis tanda-tanda keislaman, kebangsaan, dan modernitas dalam satu ‘frame’ visual-verbal. Kedua, secara konotatif, tanda-tanda tersebut mengonstruksi empat lapisan makna: kompatibilitas Islam dan identitas kebangsaan Indonesia, relevansi Islam moderat di era digital, inklusivitas humanistik, dan ‘agency’ pemuda sebagai agen moderasi aktif. Ketiga, secara mitos, konten GP Ansor membangun narasi kolektif bahwa Islam yang berkarakter moderat, toleran, dan ramah terhadap keberagaman merupakan ekspresi keislaman yang paling relevan dan kontekstual bagi identitas Muslim Indonesia dalam konteks kebhinekaan bangsa. Social media has become the primary arena for the dissemination and contestation of religious narratives in Indonesia, particularly among younger generations. This study examines religious moderation discourse communicated through video content on the GP Ansor YouTube channel to young people. The background of this research is the increasing use of social media by young Indonesian Muslims as a source of religious information, on the one hand, and the proliferation of digital extremism content that threatens national social cohesion, on the other. In this context, GP Ansor as the largest Islamic youth organization under Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) emerges as a strategic actor that consistently produces religious moderation content through the YouTube platform. Using a qualitative interpretive approach and Roland Barthes’ semiotic analysis method encompassing three levels of meaning denotation, connotation, and myth this study analyzes five selected videos from the GP Ansor YouTube channel uploaded between January 2023 and December 2024. Korpus selection was conducted through purposive sampling based on four criteria: account authenticity, relevance to moderation content, diversity of format and genre. ENGLISH: The findings reveal three main results. First, denotatively, GP Ansor’s YouTube content constructs representations of religious moderation through the systematic fusion of Islamic, national, and modernity signs within a single visual-verbal frame. Second, connotatively, these signs construct four layers of meaning: the compatibility of Islam and Indonesian national identity, the relevance of moderate Islam in the digital era, humanistic inclusivity, and youth agency as active moderation actors. Third, mythically, GP Ansor’s content builds the collective narrative that a moderate, tolerant, and diversity-embracing form of Islam—referred to by some as Islam Nusantara—represents the most contextually relevant expression of Islamic identity for Indonesian Muslims within the framework of national plurality. ARABIC: تبحث هذه الدراسة في أفكار الاعتدال الديني التي يتم توصيلها من خلال محتوى الفيديو على قناة يوتيوب لحركة شباب الأنصار (GP Ansor) إلى فئة الشباب. وتنبع خلفية هذا البحث من تزايد استخدام وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي من قِبَل الشباب المسلم الإندونيسي كمصدر للمعلومات الدينية من جهة، وانتشار محتوى التطرف الرقمي الذي يهدد التماسك الاجتماعي للأمة من جهة أخرى. في هذا السياق، تبرز حركة شباب الأنصار بوصفها أكبر منظمة شبابية إسلامية تحت مظلة نهضة العلماء (NU) فاعلاً استراتيجياً يُنتج باستمرار محتوى الاعتدال الديني عبر منصة يوتيوب. تعتمد الدراسة على المنهج النوعي التفسيري وأسلوب التحليل السيميائي لرولان بارت الذي يشمل ثلاثة مستويات من المعنى: الدلالة، والإيحاء، والأسطورة. وقد تم تحليل خمسة مقاطع فيديو مختارة من قناة يوتيوب لحركة شباب الأنصار الصادرة في الفترة الممتدة من يناير 2023 إلى ديسمبر 2024. وقد اعتمد اختيار المدونة البحثية على أسلوب أخذ العينات الهادف وفق أربعة معايير: صحة الحساب، وملاءمة محتوى الاعتدال، وتنوع الأجناس الرقمية،. ثالثdاً، على مستوى الأسطورة، يبني محتوى حركة الأنصار سرداً جماعياً مفاده أن الإسلام ذا الطابع المعتدل والمتسامح والمنفتح على التنوع—الذي يُعرِّفه بعضهم بالإسلام النوسانتاري—يمثل التعبير الأكثر ملاءمةً وانسجاماً مع السياق الإندونيسي في إطار التعددية الوطنية
