Abstract

INDONESIA: Perkembangan teknologi yang mengiringi perjalanan fotografi membuat bahasan mengenai fotografi selalu memunculkan hal-hal baru. Termasuk dalam foto bulutangkis, sebenarnya terdapat banyaak makna-makna yang disampaikan, baik itu dari semangat perjuangan atlete,keluh kesah, serta psikis seorang atlete yang berpengaruh terhadap prestasi yang dicapainya. Maka dari itu penulis tertarik untuk menganalisis foto yang terkandung dalam buku “Jejak Tauufik Hidayat di Indonesia Terbuka” karya Erly Bahtiar ini..Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mencari makna denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos foto mengenai Taufik Hidayat seorang atlete bulutangkis, dalam buku “Jejak Taufik Hidayat di Indonesia Terbuka” karya fotografer Media Harian Bola Erly Bahtiar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif,dan teori yang digunakan adalah analisis semiotika Roland Barthes untuk mencari makna denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos, dengan diperkuat pustaka dan dokumentasi. Hasil yang didapatkan dari peneltian ini adalahm makna denotasi yang didapatkan dari ketujuh foto tersebut terdapat maksud yang ingin ditunjukan oleh fotografer kepada pembaca mengenai Taufik Hidayat. Kemudian makna konotasi menjelaskan makna di balik kepribadian serta keluh kesah Taufik Hidayat dan kesemua fotonya tidak terdapat manipulasi yang membuat keadaan foto berbeda dengan realita. Terakhir untuk makna mitos dijelaskan dengan kepercayaan yang berkembang di masyarakat. ENGLISH: Technological developments that accompany the journey of photography make the discussion of photography always bring new things. Excerpted from badminton photos, actually provided a lot of meanings that were conveyed, both from the spirit of the struggle of athletes, complaints, and psychic athletes who fought against the achievements they achieved. Therefore, the authors are interested in analyzing the photos contained in the book "Traces of Tauufik Hidayat in Indonesia Open" by Erly Bahtiar this ..The purpose of this study is to find the meaning of photo denotations, connotations, and myths about Taufik Hidayat in athletes' badminton, in the book "Traces of Taufik Hidayat in the Indonesian Open", Harian Bola Erly Bahtiar's media artwork.The method used in this research is qualitative, and the theory used is semiotic analysis of Roland Barthes to look for the meaning of denotation, connotation, and theory, using literature and documentation.The results obtained from this research are that the denotation meaning obtained from the seven photographs is intended to be shown by the photographer to the reader regarding Taufik Hidayat. Then the connotation meaning explained the meaning behind Taufik Hidayat's personality and grievances and all his photos did not include manipulations that made the photo different from reality. Lastly for the meaning of myth developed with trust that developed in the community.
