Abstract
This research purposed to analyze ambition of Jordan Belfort, the main character and the author of The Wolf of Wall Street’s memoir book. Therefore, the researcher formulates the problem into two research questions, they are: 1) How is Jordan Belfort’s ambition through his personality reflected in The Wolf of Wall Street’s Memoir Book; and 2) What are the effects of Jordan Belfort’s ambition to his life reflected in The Wolf of Wall Street’s memoir Book?. The researcher uses Sigmund Freud’s theory of psychoanalysis and the personality disorder by American Psychiatric Association. In analyzing the data, the researcher uses descriptive analytic methods and psychoanalytic approach. In this research the data are taken from The Wolf of Wall Street’s Memoir Book. The result of this study shows that: 1) Jordan’s ambition can be seen from his personality structure, id, ego and superego. 2) The effects of Jordan’s ambition leads Jordan to suffered from Personality Disorder namely Narcissistic Personality Disorder, Antisocial Personality Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Histrionic Personality Disorder.
