Abstract
This study discusses the phenomenon of translation shifts that occurs in the translation process in Deadpool comic from English to Indonesian. This research focuses on translation shift, then formulated into two research questions: 1) What shifts occurs in the translation of Deadpool online comics? 2) What is the most common type of shifting in the translation? This study uses a qualitative method based on literature study. The result of the research states that a shift in translation actually occurs in the translation process for several reasons on the part of the translator. The results obtained were the borrowing method ranked highest with a total of 430 cases. The equivalence method is in the lowest rank with the number of 2 cases. In terms of types of elements, elements in comic that are classified as 'complementary elements' are the elements with the highest number of cases, amounting to 275 cases. The translation results that exist in both versions are only one of the many possible results of other translations, so that different translators can produce different translations.
