Abstract
Proses pembelajaran tidak terlepas dari kegiatan berbicara, dengan kata lain berbicara merupakan bagian penting dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, tujuan pembelajaran berbicara adalah agar siswa dapat menggunakan bahasa secara lisan dengan baik dan benar, namun pada kenyataannya keterampilan berbicara pada kegiatan belajar masih kurang maksimal, serta masih kurang mendapat perhatian. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah realita akan pentingnya pengembangan keterampilan berbicara siswa di jenjang sekolah dasar salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan yaitu metode Reka Cerita Gambar. Penelitian ini dilakukan di MI Negeri 1 Sumedang, karena tenaga pendidik disana menerapkan metode Reka Cerita Gambar. Penelitian ini mengambil fokus permasalahan: 1) Bagaimana keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas V melalui metode Reka Cerita Gambar di MI Negeri 1 Sumedang? 2) Bagaimana implikasi metode Reka Cerita Gambar terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas V pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di MI Negeri 1 Sumedang?. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan (field research) yang dilakukan di tempat terjadinya gejala-gejala yang diselidiki yaitu MI Negeri 1 Sumedang. Sedangkan pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dimana hasil penelitiannya berbentuk deskripsi kata-kata. Adapun tehnik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yakni observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknis analisis data kualitatif maksudnya adalah menguraikan, menyajikan, atau menjelaskan seluruh permasalahan, yang dilakukan dengan Reduksi data, Penyajian data, dan Verifikasi data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut pelaksanaan metode Reka Cerita Gambar di MI Negeri 1 Sumedang sudah berjalan dan dilaksanakan dengan baik terlihat dari bagaimana perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi yang sudah dirancang oleh guru. Keterampilan berbicara siswa sudah baik dari 39 siswa terdapat sepuluh siswa yang perkembangan keterampilan berbicaranya masih kurang. Melalui tahapan-tahapannya metode Reka Cerita Gambar dapat membantu siswa di MI Negeri 1 Sumedang untuk memperoleh ketangkasan, ketepatan, kesempatan, keterampilan siswa dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran disekolah. Implikasi penerapan metode Reka Cerita Gambar (me-reka/merangkai cerita berdasarkan gambar) dilapangan memberikan peningkatan yang baik dalam kreativitas belajar siswa. Hal ini terlihat dari siswa yang kreativ dalam belajar, kesungguhan siswa dalam memikirkan reka-an cerita yang dibuat, keaktifan siswa dalam mencoba merangkai cerita yang ditunjukkan oleh guru, dan melaksanakan unjuk kerja yang ditugaskan oleh guru dengan sebaik mungkin sesuai kaidah Bahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar. The learning process is inseparable from speaking activities, in other words speaking is an important part of everyday life, the purpose of learning to speak is so that students can use spoken language properly and correctly, but in fact speaking skills in learning activities are still not optimal, and still not getting enough attention. The background of this research is the reality of the importance of developing speaking skills of students at the elementary school level. One of the methods that can be used is the Picture Story Crafting method. This research was conducted at MI Negeri 1 Sumedang, because the teaching staff there applied the Image Crafting Method. This study focuses on the following problems: 1) How are the speaking skills of grade V students through the Picture Story Design method at MI Negeri 1 Sumedang? 2) What are the implications of the Picture Story Crafting method on the speaking skills of fifth grade students in learning Indonesian at MI Negeri 1 Sumedang?. This type of research is a field research conducted at the location of the symptoms under study, namely MI Negeri 1 Sumedang. While the approach used is qualitative where the results of the research are in the form of descriptions of words. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview and documentation. Qualitative data analysis technique means describing, presenting, or explaining all problems, which is done by data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. Based on the results of this study, the implementation of the Picture Story Design method at MI Negeri 1 Sumedang has been running and implemented properly, seen from how the planning, implementation and evaluation have been designed by the teacher. The students' speaking skills were good. Out of 39 students, there were ten students whose speaking skills were still lacking. Through its stages, the Picture Story Crafting method can help students at MI Negeri 1 Sumedang to gain dexterity, accuracy, opportunity, student skills in following the learning process at school. The implication of applying the Picture Story Crafting method (composing / compiling stories based on pictures) in the field provides a good increase in student learning creativity. This can be seen from the students who are creative in learning, the seriousness of students in thinking about the various stories made, the activeness of students in trying to compose the stories shown by the teacher, and carrying out the performance assigned by the teacher as best as possible according to the rules of good Indonesian and right.
