Abstract

The scramble learning model is a learning model that invites students to find answers and solve existing problems by sharing question sheets and answer sheets accompanied by available answer alternatives. Critical thinking is one of the skills students need in the 21st century. This study aims to describe the implementation of learning activities, analyze students' critical thinking skills without using the scramble learning model and by using the scramble learning model, describe students' responses to the scramble learning model, and analyze the influence of the scramble learning model on students' critical thinking skills on the reproductive system material. This research uses a quantitative approach with quasi-experimental methods. The quasi-experimental design form used is nonequivalent control group design. The study sample was selected through purposive sampling technique. The data from the study showed that the implementation of learning activities obtained very good criteria, students' critical thinking skills without using the scramble learning model obtained an average posttest score of 54.34 with sufficient categories, the average score of students' critical thinking skills in the experimental class was 66.09 with a good category. Students' response to the scramble learning model obtained results with excellent criteria. The results of the hypothesis test showed the significance value of Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05 which is 0.001 < 0.05 which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the results of the study, the scramble learning model affects students' critical thinking skills on reproductive system material. Model pembelajaran scramble merupakan model pembelajaran yang mengajak siswa untuk menemukan jawaban dan menyelesaikan permasalahan yang ada dengan cara membagikan lembar soal dan lembar jawaban yang disertai dengan alternatif jawaban yang tersedia. Berpikir kritis merupakan salah satu keterampilan yang dibutuhkan siswa di abad 21. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan aktivitas pembelajaran, menganalisis keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa tanpa menggunakan model pembelajaran scramble dan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran scramble, mendeskripsikan respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran scramble, serta menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran scramble terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi sistem reproduksi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen. Bentuk desain quasi eksperimen yang dipakai yaitu nonequivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlaksanaan aktivitas pembelajaran memperoleh kriteria sangat baik, keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa tanpa menggunakan model pembelajaran scramble memperoleh nilai rata-rata posttest sebesar 54,34 dengan kategori cukup, nilai rata-rata keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada kelas eksperimen yaitu sebesar 66,09 dengan kategori baik. Respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran scramble memperoleh hasil dengan kriteria sangat baik. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) < 0,05 yaitu sebesar 0,001 < 0,05 yang berarti H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, maka model pembelajaran scramble berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi sistem reproduksi.
