Abstract

most importantly, speaking. This study explores students' experiences and perceptions of speaking skills through the clubhouse application. Therefore, there are two purposes of this research. First, to find out how the student experiences using the clubhouse. Second, to find out how students perceive using clubhouse applications to improve their English speaking skills. The qualitative case study design was employed in this study. The data was gained from questionnaires and interviews to explore the students’ perceptions and experiences of the clubhouse application in improving students' speaking skill as users. This study was conducted on several clubhouse application' users. The results of the study, several participants were discovered to have used the application to improve their English speaking skills. The participants, according to the findings, have been using the clubhouse application for more than a year since its introduction several years ago. This demonstrates that the number of clubhouse application users grows year after year. The participants have been using the clubhouse app for more than a year, and their spend one to three hours in a day using it, and they be able to join one to two rooms per day. Some students see the clubhouse application as a way to improve their speaking skills. They also agree that, if used properly, the clubhouse application can be a new medium for students to improve their speaking skills. The following outcome is classified as a feeling. The participants believed that the clubhouse application would allow them to communicate or speak with native English speakers, which piqued their interest in using the clubhouse application to improve their speaking skills. Along with discovering several advantages, the participants encountered some challenges. One of the challenges they faced, in addition to their limited vocabulary mastery, was the moderator's limited speaking time and signaling. Based on the results of the study, students' experiences and perceptions that the clubhouse application could help them improve their English speaking skills. This suggestion allows other students to find media that suits their needs as a medium for enhancing their ability to speak English so that they feel helped apart from learning at school. This research can provide information about students' perceptions and experiences using the clubhouse application as a new medium to improve their English speaking skills.
