Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the significance of self efficacy and group cohesiveness to social loafing. The research was conducted using predictive correlational quantitative method. Number of study population 455 active students of Faculty of Psychology UIN SGD Bandung 2014-2016. By using simple random sampling technique, the number of sample was obtained as many as 198 students. Self efficacy is measured using Bandura scale. While the group cohesiveness scale was measured using the Carron scale, and the self efficacy scale was measured using the Myers scale. Statistical analysis used is multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of data processing using SPSS 16.0, showed that self efficacy and group cohesiveness significantly affect social loafing. Total of 51.5% social loafing can be explained by self efficacy and group cohesiveness variables. While 49.5% of social loafing is influenced by other variables that are not included in this research. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui signifikansi pengaruh self efficacy dan kohesivitas kelompok terhadap social loafing. Penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan metode kuantitatif tipe korelasional prediktif. Jumlah populasi penelitian 455 mahasiswa aktif Fakultas Psikologi UIN SGD Bandung angkatan 2014-2016. Dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling, didapatkan jumlah sample sebanyak 198 mahasiswa. Self efficacy diukur dengan menggunakan skala Bandura. Sedangkan skala kohesivitas kelompok diukur menggunakan skala Carron, dan skala self efficacy diukur menggunakan skala Myers. Analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data menggunakan SPSS 16.0, menunjukkan bahwa self efficacy dan kohesivitas kelompok secara signifikan berpengaruh terhadap social loafing. Sebanyak 51.5% social loafing dapat dijelaskan oleh variabel self efficacy dan kohesivitas kelompok. Sedangkan 49.5% dari social loafing dipengaruhi oleh variabel-variabel lain yang tidak teliti atau tidak termasuk dalam variabel penelitian ini.
