Abstract

Music is an interesting media that most people like to tell others. Many people are interested in listening to the music to express their life stories and give them an inspiration. The messages that can be found in the lyric also one of the valued things. Moral in literature can reflect point of view of the author, the view about truth, values, or a suggestion of moral teaching. Moral message is formed as religious moral and social critic. Then, those are found in fiction or in another literary genre. Reading Maher Zain song lyric album Thank You Allah is valuable experience because there are moral values that can be learned and grasped from the song lyrics. This study is want to show the moral messages that reflected by the song lyric which relate and supported by Al-Qur’an values. The study focuses on qualitative research method, in which the source of this research is taken from the literary works. One of the methods is content analyses. The purpose of method is to know the meaning that relied on an intensity (strength) fact as data checked. The data taken from album of Maher Zain entitled Thank You Allah which relate to the Holy Qur’an. The data is analysed through some steps, as follow identifying, classifying, interpreting, and making conclusion. Then, the theory of research use Literature and Moral Understanding, to deepen the understanding about moral in literature which including one of themes in literary works. After analysing the entire data, it can be concluded that song of Maher Zain in album Thank You Allah have two kinds of moral message, the moral messages are: first, the relationship between human and his God, second, the relation between human and the other man, including to Prophet Muhammad, which supported by Al-Qur’an to show their Qur’anic values
