Abstract

This study focuses on the implementation of the Fisher-Yates Shuffle algorithm in Sundanese language learning. The Fisher-Yates Shuffle is an algorithm capable of randomly rearranging elements within an array. The aim of this research is to develop a learning application that utilizes the Fisher-Yates algorithm to shuffle the order of Sundanese vocabulary words, which then need to be rearranged into correct sentences. The shuffling of word sequences is intended to enhance users' ability to remember and recognize these words. The application will be developed for Android-based devices using the Prototyping method. Based on the test results, the Fisher-Yates Shuffle algorithm achieves a shuffling accuracy rate of 98% out of a total of 50 tests, with a time complexity of O(n), where 'n' represents the number of elements in the array. This indicates that the algorithm's execution time grows linearly with the input size. Additionally, the Cyclomatic Complexity of the Fisher-Yates Shuffle algorithm yields a value of 2, indicating that its algorithmic structure is relatively simple, and the likelihood of programming errors is low. It is expected that the development of this application will help enhance students' interest and abilities in learning and preserving the Sundanese language.
