Abstract

ENGLISH : In this study, writers will analyze the kinds of figurative language used to describe love relationships in the lyrics of the JVKE song from his album entitled "This is what ___ feels like (Vol. 1-4)" The figurative language found in the lyrics of the album centers on seven types of figurative language, which are based on Cruse's statement explaining that figurative language refers to Figurative language. The types that have been discussed pertain to linguistic concerns, such as hyperbole, metaphor, simile, irony, personification, metonymy, and understatement (litotes). This study will use a qualitative descriptive method and Pradopo’s lyrical poetry theory. The writing technique used is descriptive qualitative, where the analysis is displayed based on the literary works. The types that will be discussed are related to linguistic attention, such as hyperbole, metaphor, simile, irony, personification, metonymy, and understatement (litotes). In the album titled "This is what ___ feels like (Vol. 1-4)" writers found four main themes that are interrelated between songs on the album. The figurative language found in the lyrics of the album centers on seven types of figurative language, which are based on Cruse's statement. Writers discovered four key themes that are connected throughout the album's tracks. The four themes that explain this stage are falling in love, heartbreak, sadness, and falling out of love. There are 86 hyperboles, 241 metaphors, 15 similes, 50 ironies, 3 personifications, 17 metonymies, and 6 litotes of figurative language found. INDONESIA : Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti akan menganalisis jenis-jenis bahasa kiasan yang digunakan untuk menggambarkan hubungan cinta dalam lirik lagu JVKE dari albumnya yang berjudul "This is what ___ feels like (Vol. 1-4)" Bahasa kiasan yang terdapat dalam lirik lagu album tersebut berpusat pada tujuh jenis bahasa kiasan, yang didasarkan pada pernyataan Cruse yang menjelaskan bahwa bahasa kiasan mengacu pada bahasa figuratif. Jenis-jenis yang telah dibahas berkaitan dengan masalah kebahasaan, seperti hiperbola, metafora, simile, ironi, personifikasi, metonimia, dan pernyataan yang meremehkan (litotes). Penelitian ini akan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan teori puisi liris Pradopo. Teknik penulisan yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, di mana analisis ditampilkan berdasarkan karya sastra. Jenis-jenis yang akan dibahas adalah yang berkaitan dengan perhatian linguistik, seperti hiperbola, metafora, simile, ironi, personifikasi, metonimia, dan majas (litotes). Dalam album yang berjudul "This is what ___ feels like (Vol. 1-4)" peneliti menemukan empat tema utama yang saling berkaitan antar lagu dalam album tersebut, bahasa kiasan yang terdapat dalam lirik lagu album tersebut berpusat pada tujuh jenis bahasa kiasan, yang didasarkan pada pernyataan Cruse. Para peneliti menemukan empat tema utama yang saling berkaitan di seluruh lagu dalam album ini. Keempat tema yang menjelaskan tahap ini adalah jatuh cinta, patah hati, kesedihan, dan putus cinta. Terdapat 86 hiperbola, 241 metafora, 15 simile, 50 ironi, 3 personifikasi, 17 metonimia, dan 6 litotes dari bahasa kiasan yang ditemukan.
