Abstract

ENGLISH : The increasing popularity and variety of trends that occur on TikTok make adolescent K-Pop fans want to continue to actively follow the various trends and the latest information about their idols. This can lead to FoMO so that if left behind trends and information, adolescent K-Pop fans become anxious and show repeated TikTok checking behavior. Therefore, self-regulation is needed to control this FoMO behavior. This study aims to examine whether self-regulation can affect Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) in adolescent K-Pop fans who use TikTok. This study uses quantitative methods with a causality design. The research sample consisted of 150 subjects of teenage K-Pop fans who use TikTok and live in Cirebon City. Determination of the sample using non probability sampling technique with accidental sampling type. Data analysis in this study used simple linear regression. The results of the analysis show that self-regulation affects FoMO with an effect of 3.1%.
