Abstract

INDONESIA: Permasalahan classroom incivility banyak terjadi dalam dunia pendidikan, salah satunya ditemukan pada siswa MTs X di Kabupaten Ciamis. Sehingga penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh parental involvement dan school climate terhadap classroom incivility pada MTs X Kabupaten Ciamis. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kausalitas dan sebanyak 77 siswa didapatkan dengan metode sensus. Hasil penelitian ini mendapatkan nilai F = 8.672 dan signifikansi (p) < 0.05 menunjukkan bahwa parental involvement dan school climate secara bersama-sama mempengaruhi classroom incivility dengan besaran pengaruh 19%. Ketika diamati lebih detail saat pengujian secara parsial, school climate yang memberikan kontribusi yang lebih besar dan signifikan terhadap classroom incivility, sedangkan untuk parental involvement hanya sedikit berkontribusi sehingga tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan. Implikasi penelitian ini mendorong untuk pihak sekolah meningkatkan school climate yang memadai bagi siswa untuk menekan classroom incivility. ENGLISH: The issue of classroom incivility is prevalent in the field of education, as evidenced by its occurrence among students at MTs X in Ciamis Regency. Therefore, this study aims to identify the influence of parental involvement and school climate on classroom incivility at MTs X in Ciamis Regency. The research design using causality approach and a total 77 students were taken by census methods. The results of this study yielded an F = 8.672 and significance (p) < 0.05, indicating that parental involvement and school climate collectively influence classroom incivility with an effect size of 19%. Upon closer examination during partial testing, it was found that school climate contributes significantly more to classroom incivility, while parental involvement only has a minor contribution, thus not significantly affecting it. The implications of this research urge schools to enhance school climate adequately to mitigate classroom incivility among students.
