Abstract
ENGLISH: Human born with responsibility, however not every human realize and responsible for any of it. Human tend to ignore their responsibility to be given to another human. This problem gives the researcher a reason to analyze human responsibility appeared in a movie ‘Real Steel’. By taken the advantages of semiotic theory by Roland Barthes, supported with the point of view of Takeo Fukuda about human responsibility as perspective tool to analyze the Myth inside it, the researcher analyze each scenes focused on the main character. Helped by cinematic theory and the context, Researcher analyze by conducting qualitative method and descriptive approach. An analysis of the movie reveals that there are twenty-five scenes of applied and unapplied human responsibility. The outcomes emphasize the applied responsibility in partnership, honesty, tolerance, and mutual respect. Displaying the applied human responsibility in every setting of scene, this research provides insightful information on how society views ethical behavior and responsibility. Researchers reveals layers of meaning in every scene by using semiotic theory along with cinematic analysis to analyze the ethical challenges humans face and the complex details of human interaction. In addition to deepening the comprehension of cinematic scenes, this research gives readers an understatement of individual commitments and responsibilities in real-life circumstances. INDONESIA: Manusia memiliki tanggung jawab sejak lahir, tetapi tidak semua dapat menyadari dan bertanggung jawab atasnya. Manusia cenderung mengabaikan tanggung jawab dan meneruskannya kepada orang lain. Karena permasalahan tersebut, peneliti menganalisa bagaimana tanggung jawab manusia dalam movie ‘Real Steel’ dengan menggunakan teori semiotika Roland Barthes, yang didukung oleh perspektif Takeo Fukuda tentang tanggung jawab manusia sebagai alat untuk menganalisis mitos dalam teori Barthes. Peneliti melakukan analisis dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dan pendekatan deskriptif guna mengetahui konteks dalam setiap adegan. Memiliki duapuluh-lima adegan yang berkaitan dengan tanggung jawab manusia dengan menekankan pada sikap pemeran utama dalam movie. Analisa menunjukkan bahwa cenderung menekan pada kemampuan manusia untuk bertanggung jawab dalam hal bekerja sama, jujur, toleran, dan menghormati satu sama lain. Dengan menggunakan teori semiotika dan analisis sinematik, peneliti dapat menemukan lapisan makna dalam setiap adegan. Pembaca dapat menganalisis masalah etis yang dihadapi manusia serta detail-detail kompleks dari interaksi manusia. Penelitian ini tidak hanya memberi pembaca pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang adegan dalam movie ‘Real Steel’, tetapi juga mengarahkan mereka untuk mempertimbangkan apa yang dilakukan orang dan apa yang harus manusia lakukan dalam kehidupan nyata.
