Abstract

INDONESIA: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru pada lembaga pendidikan yang mengalami kekurangan guru, Kabupaten Subang per-februari 2024 mengalami permasalahan dimana guru pensiun tiap tahunnya mencapai 500 guru, dan saat ini Kabupaten Subang kekurangan setidaknya 4.831 guru yang dikutip dari beberapa media. Peran kepala sekolah sebagai pemimpin dinilai penting dalam menetapkan strategi untuk menjamin mutu pendidikan, terutama disekolah berstatus swasta. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan mengevaluasi berbagai aspek manajemen strategik kepemimpinan visioner dalam upaya meningkatkan kinerja guru. Fokus penelitian mencakup; 1) Perumusan Strategi, 2) Implementasi Strategi, dan 3) Evaluasi Strategi Kepemimpinan Visioner dalam Meningkatkan Kinerja Guru di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Plus Darul Masholih Kabupaten Subang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi langsung, serta analisis dokumen dari berbagai sumber primer dan sekunder yang relevan. Melalui metode ini, diharapkan dapat diperoleh gambaran yang komprehensif mengenai kondisi dan praktik manajemen strategik yang diterapkan di objek penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kepala sekolah sebagai pemimpin yang visioner melalui sekolah memiliki komitmen kuat dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan melalui peningkatan kinerja guru, Strategi diterapkan melalui proses analisis SWOT untuk memahami kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan ancaman yang dihadapi madrasah. Selain itu, pada proses perumusan strategi didasarkan pada visi dan misi sekolah yang berfokus pada pengembangan manajemen mutu pendidikan yang berbasis pada kualitas pelayanan pendidikan. Implementasi strategi dilakukan dengan melibatkan seluruh komponen sekolah, mulai dari kepala sekolah, guru, hingga siswa, serta menjalin kerjasama dengan berbagai pihak eksternal seperti lembaga pemerintahan dan non-pemerintahan. Evaluasi peningkatan kinerja guru dilakukan secara berkala untuk memastikan bahwa strategi yang diterapkan mampu mencapai target yang diinginkan. Temuan penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya peran manajemen strategik pada pemimpin dalam upaya meningkatkan kinerja guru, serta memberikan rekomendasi praktis bagi pengelola sekolah dalam merumuskan dan mengimplementasikan strategi peningkatan mutu di masa depan. ENGLISH: This study is motivated by the need to improve teacher performance in educational institutions facing a shortage of teachers. As of February 2024, Subang Regency is experiencing a problem where approximately 500 teachers retire each year, resulting in a shortage of at least 4,831 teachers, as reported by various media outlets. The role of the principal as a leader is considered crucial in establishing strategies to ensure the quality of education, especially in private schools. The aim of this research is to analyze and evaluate various aspects of strategic management of visionary leadership in efforts to improve teacher performance. The focus of the study includes: 1) Strategy Formulation, 2) Strategy Implementation, and 3) Evaluation of Visionary Leadership Strategies in Improving Teacher Performance at Plus Darul Masholih Junior High School in Subang Regency. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document analysis from various relevant primary and secondary sources. Through this method, a comprehensive picture of the conditions and practices of strategic management applied in the research object is expected to be obtained. The results indicate that the principal, as a visionary leader, is strongly committed to improving the quality of education through enhancing teacher performance. Strategies are implemented through a SWOT analysis process to understand the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats faced by the school. Additionally, the strategy formulation process is based on the school's vision and mission, focusing on the development of quality management in education based on the quality of educational services. Strategy implementation involves all school components, from the principal and teachers to students, as well as collaborating with various external parties such as government and non-governmental organizations. Evaluation of teacher performance improvement is conducted periodically to ensure that the implemented strategies meet the desired targets. The findings of this research emphasize the importance of strategic management roles in leadership efforts to enhance teacher performance and provide practical recommendations for school management in formulating and implementing quality improvement strategies in the future.
