Abstract

INDONESIA: Kehidupan di social media tidak terlepas dari interaksi individu satu dengan individu lainnya sehingga dapat terjalinnya sebuah komunitas di dunia virtual. Salah satu eksistensi komunitas yang ada pada platform X adalah Komunitas MARAH MARAH dimana para anggotanya dapat melampiaskan amarah dalam ruang yang diciptakan di komunitas tersebut. Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh loneliness dan self control terhadap online disinhibition effect dengan menggunakan mix method sebagai metodologi penelitiannya. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 400 dan hasil penelitian kuantitatif menunjukkan bahwa loneliness tidak berpengaruh terhadap online disinhibition effect dengan nilai p = 0,257. Self control berpengaruh negatif terhadap online disinhibition effect dengan nilai β = -0.112. ENGLISH: Life on social media is inseparable from interactions between individuals, which can lead to the formation of communities in the virtual world. One such community on platform X is the Komunitas MARAH MARAH, where members can vent their anger in the space created within the community. This study analyses the influence of loneliness and self-control on the online disinhibition effect using a mixed-methods approach as its research methodology. Data was collected through a questionnaire with 400 respondents, and the quantitative research results showed that loneliness does not influence the online disinhibition effect with a p-value of 0.257. Self-control has a negative influence on the online disinhibition effect with a p-value of β = -0.112.
