Abstract
Perubahan perkembangan fisik dan mental yang pesat pada remaja awal dapat meningkatkan ketidakstabilan emosi dan ketertarikan lingkungan sosial yang tinggi, seperti penilaian dan harapan orang lain terhadap dirinya termasuk pada remaja yang tinggal di Panti Asuhan mempunyai kondisi psikologis yang berbeda dengan remaja yang tinggal dan mempunyai orang tua lengkap. Perilaku anak asuh yang cenderung pendiam, tidak tegas, merupakan salah satu dampak kekurangan rasa penghargaan pada dirinya. Penelitian ini ingin mengetahui pengaruh self-esteem terhadap perilaku asertif pada remaja yang tinggal di Panti Asuhan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif yang melibatkan 79 responden dengan kriteria individu berusia 13-17 tahun, merupakan anak asuh yang tinggal di Panti Asuhan. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Coopersmith Self-esteem Inventory (CSEI) dan Assertive Behavior Scale. Teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi linier sederhana. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh self-esteem yang signifikan sebesar .651 terhadap perilau asertif remaja di Panti Asuhan. Rapid physical and mental development changes in early adolescence can increase emotional instability and high social environment interest, such as other people's assessments and expectations of themselves, including adolescents who live in orphanages who have different psychological conditions than adolescents who live and have complete parents. The behavior of adolescent foster children who tend to be quiet, not straightforward, is one of the impacts of a lack of self-esteem. This study aims to determine the effect of self-esteem on assertive behavior in adolescents living in orphanages using a quantitative approach involving 79 respondents with the criteria of individuals aged 13-17 years, who are foster children living in orphanages. The instruments used in this study were the Coopersmith Self-esteem Inventory (CSEI) and the Assertive Behavior Scale. The data analysis technique used simple linear regression. The results showed that there was a significant effect of self-esteem of 0.651 on the assertive behavior of adolescents in orphanages.
