Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui bagaimana Grit berkontribusi terhadap keberhasilan penyandang disabilitas tunanetra dalam meraih cita-cita sebagai dosen dan pendiri pesantren tahfidz tunanetra. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Subjek merupakan tunanetra lulusan program doktoral yang mendirikan pesantren khusus tunanetra. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Grit, mencakup konsistensi minat dan ketekunan dalam usaha, berperan penting dalam perjalanan hidup subjek. Faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi Grit meliputi passion, practice, purpose, hope, dukungan sosial (the playing fields), dan religiusitas. Simpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Grit yang diperkuat nilai-nilai spiritual menjadi kekuatan utama dalam mewujudkan cita-cita subjek secara berkelanjutan. This study aims to determine how Grit contributes to the success of blind people with disabilities in achieving their goals as lecturers and founders of blind tahfidz pesantren. The research used a qualitative approach with a case study design. The subject is a visually impaired doctoral program graduate who founded a special boarding school for the visually impaired. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results showed that Grit, which includes consistency of interest and perseverance in effort, plays an important role in the subject's life journey. Factors that influence Grit include passion, practice, purpose, hope, social support (the playing fields), and religiosity. The research conclusion shows that Grit reinforced by spiritual values is the main force in realizing the subject's goals in a sustainable manner.
