Abstract
INDONESIA: Menempuh pendidikan tinggi dengan fasilitas yang sesuai merupakan hak setiap individu, termasuk mahasiswa disabilitas. Ketidaksesuaian fasilitas dapat menimbulkan hambatan dalam kehidupan akademik sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan pengalaman mahasiswa disabilitas di UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung dalam menghadapi kesulitan melalui lensa Adversity Quotient (AQ). Tiga partisipan dengan latar belakang disabilitas berbeda dipilih secara purposive. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Kualitatif dengan metode Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). Hasil menunjukkan adanya keberagaman profil AQ pada masing-masing subjek, mencakup dimensi Control, Ownership, Reach, dan Endurance, serta dipengaruhi oleh faktor seperti pola asuh, nilai spiritual, pengalaman hidup, dan dukungan sosial. Kajian ini menegaskan pentingnya pendekatan inklusif dan penyediaan fasilitas adaptif guna mendukung ketahanan akademik mahasiswa disabilitas. ENGLISH: Access to higher education with appropriate facilities is a right for all individuals, including students with disabilities. Inadequate accommodations can create adversity in academic and daily life. This study aims to explore the experiences of students with disabilities at State Islamic University Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung in facing academic challenges through the lens of Adversity Quotient (AQ). Three participants with different disability backgrounds were selected using purposive sampling. The study employed a qualitative approach using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). The findings reveal diverse AQ profiles across participants, covering the dimensions of Control, Ownership, Reach, and Endurance. These responses are shaped by various factors, including parenting styles, spiritual values, life experiences, and social support. This research emphasizes the importance of inclusive practices and adaptive facilities to support the academic toughness of students with disabilities.
