Abstract

INDONESIA: Pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) adalah sayuran daun yang memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi dan permintaan yang semakin meningkat. Namun, pengembangan produksinya masih terhambat oleh serangan hama. Sehubungan dengan itu, diperlukan suatu metode pengendalian hama yang efisien dan aman bagi lingkungan guna mendukung keberhasilan budidaya pakcoy, salah satunya dengan pengaturan jarak tanam dan penggunaan pestisida nabati dari daun pepaya. Kedua cara tersebut dapat memengaruhi jumlah dan jenis serangga yang ada. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengaturan jarak tanam dan konsentrasi pestisida nabati daun pepaya terhadap keanekaragaman serangga, pertumbuhan, dan hasil tanaman pakcoy. Metode yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan dua faktor. Faktor pertama adalah jarak tanam yang terdiri dari tiga taraf (15 cm × 20 cm), (20 cm × 20 cm), dan (25 cm × 20 cm). Faktor kedua adalah pestisida nabati daun pepaya yang terdiri dari tiga taraf konsentrasi (0%, 50%, dan 100%). Terdapat sembilan kombinasi perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak ditemukan interaksi antara jarak tanam dan konsentrasi pestisida nabati daun pepaya pada seluruh parameter yang diamati. Sehingga, kedua perlakuan tidak secara bersamaan memengaruhi keanekaragaman serangga, pertumbuhan, dan hasil tanaman pakcoy. Kombinasi perlakuan J3K1, yaitu jarak tanam 25 cm × 20 cm dan konsentrasi pestisida nabati daun pepaya 50% berpengaruh terhadap indeks keanekaragaman serangga, tetapi tidak berpengaruh pada pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman pakcoy. ENGLISH: Pakchoy (Brassica rapa L.) is a leaf vegetable whose demand continues to increase, so this plant has a high economic value. However, its production development is still hampered by pest attacks. Therefore, effective and environmentally safe pest control methods are needed to support the success of pakchoy cultivation, one of which is by setting plant spacing and using papaya leaf pesticides. Both methods can affect the number and type of insects present. This study aims to determine the effect of plant spacing and the concentrations of papaya leaf pesticides on insect diversity, growth, and yield of pakchoy plants. The method used was Randomized Block Design with two variable. The first variable is the planting distance consist of three levels (15 cm × 20 cm), (20 cm × 20 cm), and (25 cm × 20 cm). The second variable is papaya leaf pesticide which consist of three concentration levels (0%, 50%, and 100%). There were nine treatment combinations and three replications. The result of this study showed that there was no interaction between planting distance and papaya leaf pesticide concentration on all parameters observed. Thus, the two treatments did not simultaneously affect insect diversity, growth, and yield of pakchoy plants. The treatment combination of J3K1, which is 25 cm × 20 cm and 50% papaya leaf pesticide concentration, affects the insect diversity index, but has no effect on the growth and yield of pakchoy plants.
