Abstract

Tantangan dalam pertanian berkelanjutan adalah penggunaan pupuk kimia yang berlebihan yang merusak struktur dan menurunkan kesuburan tanah. Tanaman selada merah memerlukan unsur hara cukup dan diharapkan dapat tumbuh lebih baik dengan penggunaan pupuk kandang ayam yang dapat meningkatkan efisiensi pemakaian pupuk NPK serta mendukung pertanian berkelanjutan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan mengetahui kombinasi pemberian dosis pupuk kandang ayam yang menunjukkan pengaruh terbaik dalam mengefisiensikan kebutuhan pupuk NPK bagi pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman selada merah (Lactuca sativa var. LE 082). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 6 taraf perlakuan serta 5 ulangan. Pada setiap plot terdapat 2 unit sehingga diperoleh 60 satuan percobaan yaitu : A = Kontrol (tanpa pupuk kandang ayam ataupun NPK), B = 100% NPK (250 kg ha-1), C = 100% Pupuk kandang ayam (20 t ha-1), D = 75% Pupuk kandang ayam + 25% NPK, E = 50% Pupuk kandang ayam + 50% NPK, F = 25% Pupuk kandang ayam + 75% NPK. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberianpupuk kandang ayam dapat mengefisiensikan pupuk NPK pada parameter pertumbuhan, tetapi tidak pada hasil tanaman selada merah (Lactuca sativa var. LE 082). Pemberian 75% pupuk kandang ayam dengan 25% NPK dapat mengefisiensikan penggunaan pupuk NPK sebesar 75% terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman selada merah (Lactuca sativa var. LE 082). The challenge in sustainable agriculture is the excessive use of chemical fertilisers, which damages soil structure and reduces soil fertility. Red lettuce plants require sufficient nutrients and are expected to grow better with the use of chicken manure, which can improve the efficiency of NPK fertiliser use and support sustainable agriculture. The objective of this study was to determine the effect and identify the optimal combination of chicken manure application rates that best enhance NPK fertiliser efficiency for the growth and yield of red lettuce (Lactuca sativa var. LE 082). This study employed a Randomised Block Design (RBD) with 6 treatment levels and 5 replications. Each plot contained 2 units, resulting in 60 experimental units: A = Control (without chicken manure or NPK), B = 100% NPK (250 kg ha1), C = 100% Chicken manure (20 t ha-1), D = 75% chicken manure + 25% NPK, E = 50% chicken manure + 50% NPK, F = 25% chicken manure + 75% NPK. The results showed that the application of chicken manure fertilizer could improve the efficiency of NPK fertilizer in terms of growth parameters, but not in terms of red lettuce (Lactuca sativa var. LE 082) yield. The application of 75% chicken manure with 25% NPK fertilizer can improve the efficiency of NPK fertilizer use by 75% in terms of the growth and yield of red lettuce (Lactuca sativa var. LE 082).
