Abstract
INDONESIA Krisis energi yang terjadi saat ini adalah masalah yang harus diselesaikan dan diatasi. Banyaknya penggunaan bahan bakar fosil secara terus menerus mengakibatkan berkurangnya energi yang tak terbarukan. Bivital, seperti biodiesel merupakan salah satu bahan alternatif yang dapat diakukan karena bersifat terbarukan dan ramah lingkungan. Mikroalga Porphyrium cruentum adalah salah satu jenis alga yang dapat dikembangkan karena memiliki kandungan protein dan minyak yang cukup tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan pupuk NPK dan ekstrak Eucheuma cottonii terhadap pertumbuhan dan kadar lipid. Pengamatan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan perlakuan kombinasi NPK dengan ekstrak Eucheuma cottonii, pada konsentrasi (NPK 0 mg/L., NPK 50 mg/L., NPK 100 mg/L., NPK 150 mg/L., NPK 200 mg/L). Hasil yang didapat dengan nilai kerapatan tertinggi ada di perlakuan NPK 0 mg/L. dengan kerapatan 38,8x10^4 sel/mL. lalu berat basah 45,3x10^4 mg/L. dan kadar lipid pada rata-rata tertinggi sebesar 16,3 % (NPK 150 mg/L). ENGLISH The energy crisis that happened today is a problem that must be resolved and dealt with. The amount of fossil fuel use continuously resulting in fewer non-renewable energy. Biofuels such as biodiesel is one alternative fuel that can be used because it is a renewable and environmentally friendly. Microalgae Porphyrium cruentum has a close relationship to be developed into biodiesel because it has fairly high lipid levels. This study aimed to determine the effect of NPK fertilizer and Eucheuma cottonii extract on the growth and lipid levels. Porphyrium cruentum with the observed parameters include cell density, growth rate, wet weight, dry weight, and lipid levels. Observations using a completely randomized design (CRD) with combination treatment of NPK with extracts Eucheuma cottonii at concentrations (NPK 0 mg/L., NPK 50 mg/L., NPK 100 mg/L., NPK 150 mg/L., NPK 200 mg/L). The results obtained with the highest density value in NPK 0 mg / L with densities 38.8x10^5 cells/mL, the growth rate had the highest average value of 0.3383 cells / mL / hour (NPK 0 mg/L), wet weight 45.3x10^4 mg/L, NPK 0 mg/L /, basis, and lipid content of the highest average value of 16.3% (NPK 150 mg/L).
