This study discusses the position and legitimacy of justice collaborators (perpetrators who cooperate with law enforcement) in the Indonesian criminal justice system from the perspective of Islamic criminal law. The main issue examined is the extent to which the concept of justice collaborators, as regulated in Article 10A paragraph (3) of Law No. 31 of 2014, aligns with the principles of Islamic law. The aim of this research is to analyze the reduction of criminal penalties for justice collaborators and evaluate its conformity with Islamic justice and protection principles. The study employs a normative juridical approach and descriptive analytical method, utilizing literature review and qualitative content analysis techniques. The findings indicate that the Indonesian legal framework allows for legal protection and incentives for justice collaborators, evidenced by reduced sentences for those providing crucial information. From an Islamic law perspective, the concept is justified through principles such as tahfiful uqubah, sincere repentance (taubat nasuha), and public benefit (maslahah mursalah). There is convergence between national law and Islamic law, particularly regarding the protection of life (hifz al-nafs) and restorative justice. This research recommends the development of objective criteria and substantive justice mechanisms, while promoting the integration of Islamic values into Indonesia's criminal justice system.
