Abstract
INDONESIA: Bentrokan antara suporter PSIM Yogyakarta dan Persib Bandung pada Agustus 2025 menjadi perhatian publik karena meluas dari ranah olahraga menjadi persoalan keamanan dan ketertiban masyarakat. Peristiwa tersebut diberitakan secara luas oleh berbagai media online, termasuk Pikiran-Rakyat.com. Sebagai media yang memiliki kedekatan historis, geografis, dan kultural dengan Persib Bandung, Pikiran-Rakyat.com menarik dikaji untuk menganalisis bagaimana media tersebut membingkai realitas konflik melalui pemberitaannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana Pikiran-Rakyat.com membingkai pemberitaan bentrokan suporter PSIM Yogyakarta dengan Persib Bandung berdasarkan empat elemen framing Robert M. Entman. Landasan teoritis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis framing Robert M. Entman yang terdiri atas empat elemen, yaitu define problems (pendefinisian masalah), diagnose causes (identifikasi penyebab masalah), make moral judgments (penilaian moral), dan treatment recommendation (rekomendasi penyelesaian). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis framing Robert M. Entman. Objek penelitian berupa enam berita Pikiran-Rakyat.com yang dipilih pada periode 24–26 Agustus 2025 menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui teknik dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pikiran-Rakyat.com secara konsisten membingkai bentrokan suporter sebagai persoalan keamanan dan ketertiban umum. Pendefinisian masalah diarahkan pada dampak bentrokan terhadap keamanan publik, sedangkan penyebab konflik dikonstruksi berdasarkan perkembangan hasil penyelidikan kepolisian dan diarahkan pada tindakan oknum pelaku, bukan sebagai akibat rivalitas antarsuporter. Penilaian moral dibangun melalui dominasi narasumber resmi yang mengecam tindakan kekerasan, sementara rekomendasi penyelesaian menitikberatkan pada penegakan hukum, penguatan pengamanan, serta evaluasi penyelenggaraan kompetisi sepak bola. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Pikiran-Rakyat.com membingkai bentrokan suporter sebagai persoalan keamanan publik dengan menonjolkan perspektif penegakan hukum dan pembenahan tata kelola penyelenggaraan sepak bola. ENGLISH: The clash between PSIM Yogyakarta and Persib Bandung supporters in August 2025 attracted public attention as it escalated beyond the realm of sports into an issue of public security and public order. The incident received extensive coverage from various online news media, including Pikiran-Rakyat.com. As a news outlet with historical, geographical, and cultural ties to Persib Bandung, Pikiran-Rakyat.com is considered an interesting subject for examining how the media framed the reality of the conflict through its news coverage. This study aims to analyze how Pikiran-Rakyat.com framed the news coverage of the clash between PSIM Yogyakarta and Persib Bandung supporters based on Robert M. Entman's four framing elements. The theoretical framework employed in this study is Robert M. Entman's framing analysis, which consists of four elements: define problems, diagnose causes, make moral judgments, and treatment recommendation. This study employed a qualitative approach using Robert M. Entman's framing analysis method. The research object consisted of six news articles published by Pikiran-Rakyat.com during the period of August 24–26, 2025, selected through a purposive sampling technique. The research data were collected through documentation. The findings indicate that Pikiran-Rakyat.com consistently framed the supporters' clash as an issue of public security and public order. The problem was defined in terms of its impact on public safety, while the causes of the conflict were constructed based on the development of the police investigation and attributed to the actions of individual perpetrators rather than to the rivalry between supporter groups. Moral judgments were established through the dominance of official sources condemning the violence, while the recommended solutions emphasized law enforcement, strengthened security measures, and improvements in the governance of football competitions. The study concludes that Pikiran-Rakyat.com framed the supporters' clash as a public security issue by emphasizing a law enforcement perspective and the improvement of football governance.
