Abstract

Swiftlet guano was a by product from swiftlet farm that has a large amount of nutritions but barely used as fertilizer. Rock phosphate has a huge deposit in Indonesia. This research aimed to determine the influence of various treatments of swiftlet guano and rock phosphate combination on the growth and yield of baby corn. This research has been carried out starting April to June 2018 in Kp. Cikaledong, Ds. Ciaro, Kec. Nagreg, Kab. Bandung. The experiment design used simple Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 10 degrees of combination dosage (A=control, B=8,5 t ha-1 swiftlet guano + 400 kg ha-1 rock phosphate, C=8,5 t ha-1 swiftlet guano + 500 kg ha-1 rock phosphate, D=8,5 t ha-1 swiftlet guano + 600 kg ha-1 rock phosphate, E=9 t ha-1 swiftlet guano + 400 kg ha-1 rock phosphate, F=9 t ha-1 swiftlet guano + 500 kg ha-1 rock phosphate 1, G= 9 t ha-1 swiftlet guano + 600 kg ha-1 rock phosphate, H=9,5 t ha-1 swiftlet guano + 400 kg ha-1 rock phosphate, I=9,5 t ha-1 swiftlet guano + 500 kg ha-1 rock phosphate, J=9,5 t ha-1 swiftlet guano + 600 kg ha-1 rock phosphate). Each treatment combination is repeated as many as three times. Duncan Multiple Range Test is used as a further test. The result showed that the combination of swiftlet guano and rock phosphate significantly affected plant height but does not differ markedly against other parameters. Combination dosage of 9,5 t ha-1 swiftlet guano and 400 kg ha-1 rock phosphate showed the highest response against plant height at 35, 42 and 49 DAP.
