Abstract
Penggunaan stimulan untuk peningkatan produksi lateks karet harus dikombinasikan dengan penurunan frekuensi sadap guna menjaga kesehatan tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh berbagai dosis stimulan ekstrak kulit pisang dengan frekuensi sadap yang berbeda serta untuk menentukan dosis dan frekuensi sadap yang paling baik untuk digunakan dalam kegiatan budidaya tanaman karet. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan April sampai Juni 2018 di PTPN VIII Perkebunan Panglejar, Afdeling Maswati II, Kecamatan Cikalong Wetan, Kabupaten Bandung Barat, Provinsi Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan percobaan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) faktorial dengan tiga kali ulangan yang terdiri atas dua faktor. Faktor pertama yaitu dosis stimulan yang terdiri dari lima taraf yaitu s0 = 0,2 g etefon (kontrol), s1 = 2,5 g ekstrak kulit pisang, s2 = 5,0 g ekstrak kulit pisang, s3 = 7,5 g ekstrak kulit pisang dan s4 = 10 g ekstrak kulit pisang. Faktor kedua yaitu frekuensi sadap yang terdiri dari tiga taraf yaitu f1 = sadap dua hari sekali, f2 = sadap tiga hari sekali, dan f3 = sadap 4 hari sekali. Hasil penelitian diuji lanjut dengan menggunakan uji DMRT 5% (Duncan’s Multiple Range Test). Hasil penelitian menunjukan terjadi interaksi dosis stimulan dan frekuensi sadap pada kadar karet kering (KKK). Sementara frekuensi sadap secara mandiri berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap volume lateks rata-rata per sadap dan laju aliran lateks dan volume total lateks. Stimulan kulit pisang menghasilkan produksi lateks yang sama dengan stimulan etefon pada parameter kadar karet kering (KKK). Pengaplikasian stimulan ekstrak kulit pisang 5,0 g dan frekuensi sadap 3 hari sekali merupakan kombinasi perlakuan paling baik yang dapat digunakan dalam kegiatan budidaya tanaman karet. The use of stimulant in order to increase the production of rubber latex need to be combine with the decreasing of tapping frequency to keep the plants healthy. This research aimed to know the effect of stimulant dosage made from banana peel with different tapping frequency, also to determine the dosage and tapping frequency that showed the best result on a rubber cultivation. This research had been carried out from April to June 2018 in PTPN VIII Panglejar Farm, Afdeling Maswati II, Cikalong Wetan, West Bandung, West Java. The method used in this research was Randomized Block Design consisting of two factors with three replications. The first factor was stimulant dosage, i.e. five treatments with s0 = 0,2 g Etefon as control, s1 = 2,5 g banana peel extract, s2 = 5,0 g banana peel extract, s3 = 7,5 g banana peel extract and s4 = 10 g banana peel extract. The second factor was tapping frequency i.e. three treatments with f1 = tapping every 2 days, f2 = tapping every 3 days, and f3 = tapping every 4 days. Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) was used as a further test. This research showed an interaction between stimulant dosage and tapping frequency on the quality of dry rubber content (DRC). The tapping frequency showed an independent effect on average of latex volume, latex flow rate and total volume of latex. Banana peel stimulant produced latex with the same amount with Etefon stimulant on the quality of dry rubber content (DRC). The application of 5,0 g banana peel stimulant and tapping frequency every 3 days was the best combination and highly recommended for rubber cultivation.
