Abstract
INDONESIA Telah dilakukan penelitian Studi Distribusi Daya Reaktor Air Bertekanan (PWR) Berdaya Kecil Berumur Panjang Berbahan Bakar Thorium. Reaktor kecil yaitu reaktor dengan daya termal dibawah 1000 MW dapat menjadi solusi kurangnya pasokan listrik untuk pulau-pulau kecil di Indonesia. Thorium yang merupakan bahal bakar alternatif selain uranium, mempunyai tampang lintang serap dan rasio konversi yang lebih baik dari uranium pada energi termal sehingga cocok untuk reaktor berdaya kecil. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan terlebih dahulu mensurvey beberapa parameter pin bahan bakar dengan modul PIJ-SRAC yaitu vasiasi bahan bakar, racun bahan bakar, fraksi bahan bakar, dan tipe geometri sel dengan melihat faktor multiplikasi dan rasio konversi selama peride burnup. Setelah itu dilakukan analisis teras dengan SRAC-CITATION untuk memperoleh densitas daya dan faktor puncak daya. Hasilnya didapatkan bahan bakar yang mempunyai nilai ekonomis lebih baik dengan kekritisan yang stabil selama 12 tahun operasi ialah thorium nitrida dengan racun bahan bakar protaktinium-231. Untuk analisis teras digunakan bahan bakar heterogen dengan pengkayaan bahan fisil uranium-233 sebesar 4.0% dengan 0.7% protaktinium-231, 4.8% dengan 0.7% protaktinium-231 dan 5.0% dengan 0.7% protaktinium-231. Untuk model silinder RZ diperoleh densitas daya maksimal 25.17702 watt/cc dengan k-efektif 1.033229, sedangkan untuk model 3D XYZ diperoleh daya maksimal 135.34 watt/cc dengan k-efektif 1.007262. ENGLISH Research Study Power Distribution Small Long-Life Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) on Thorium has been conducted. Small reactors, namely reactors with thermal power below 1000 MW can be a solution to the lack of electricity supply for small islands in Indonesia. Thorium, which is an alternative fuel source other than uranium, has an absorption latitude and a better conversion ratio than uranium to thermal energy so that it is suitable for small power reactors. This research was conducted by first surveying some fuel pin parameters with the PIJ-SRAC module, namely fuel classification, burnable poison, fuel fraction, and cell geometry type by looking at multiplication factors and conversion ratios during burnup time. After that, a terrace analysis with SRAC-CITATION is performed to obtain the power density and peaking power factor. The result is that the fuel that has better economic value with stable criticality for 12 years is thorium nitride with burnable poison protactinium-231. Heterogeneous fuels with enrichment of fissile uranium-233 material were 4.0% with 0.7% protactinium-231, 4.8% with 0.7% protactinium-231 and 5.0% with 0.7% protactinium-231. For the RZ cylinder model, a maximum power density of 25.17702 watts/cc is obtained with a k-effective of 1.033229, while for the 3D XYZ model the maximum power is 135.34 watts/cc with a effective multiplication factors 1.007262.
