Abstract

ENGLISH This thesis is directed to answer three basic questions about training methods including 1. What are the methods used by teachers in teaching students in Kastare Jage Foundation? 2. What are the problems encountered by using the methods in teaching English at Jage Kastare Foundation. 3. What are suggested solutions to cope with the problems encountered in the process of teaching English. The theory used in this thesis is David Nunan (2003). His theories of training speaking, to analyze the data source. Researchers also apply another theory i.e. the theory of Gerlach and Ely (1980), taken from the book teaching and Media: A systematic approach. The theory is considered to be relevant to the topic of discussion in this thesis. There are some steps that are done in collecting data after mastering the theory. A method that researcher used to collect the data are observational studies. When data is collected and identified, rewritten and these data are classified according to its kind. Finally, the data analyzed using descriptive theory in training speaking. The result shows the based on the chapters of the study. The result of the analysis is in the form of; 1) from the amount of data that is identified, the students were able to speak English using Grammar Translation method (GTM). 2) find next is that the teacher is able to use the method of slant way when teaching method has a couple of techniques that serve to strengthen. 3) The teacher functions as a guide, an organizer, a resource, and evaluator. In the role of guide, language teacher guides learners to learn the language units under consideration; hence, the teacher offers the learning materials to the learners and helps them to acquire the target language. In the role of organizer, language teacher organize classroom activities. The conclusion, the teacher should use proper methods, additional material from other sources, and the media in the teaching of speech to achieve the purpose of the teaching and learning process. Based on the findings, recommended that the English language the teachers must have interesting ways in teaching English speaking the teachers should also use some media for using those methods INDONESIA Tesis ini diarahkan untuk menjawab tiga pertanyaan dasar tentang metode pelatihan termasuk 1. Apakah metode yang digunakan oleh guru-guru mengajar siswa di Kastare Jage Foundation? 2. Apakah masalah yang dihadapi dengan menggunakan metode dalam mengajar bahasa Inggris di Jage Kastare Foundation. 3. apa yang menyarankan solusi untuk mengatasi masalah yang dihadapi dalam proses mengajar bahasa Inggris. Teori yang digunakan dalam tesis ini adalah David Nunan (2003). Teorinya tentang pelatihan berbicara, menganalisis sumber data. Para peneliti juga menerapkan teori lain yaitu teori Gerlach dan Ely (1980), diambil dari buku pengajaran dan Media: pendekatan yang sistematis. Teori dianggap relevan dengan topik diskusi dalam tesis ini. Ada beberapa langkah yang dilakukan dalam pengumpulan data setelah menguasai teori. Sebuah metode yang peneliti yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah pengamatan studi. Ketika data dikumpulkan dan diidentifikasi, ditulis ulang dan data diklasifikasikan menurut jenisnya. Akhirnya, data dianalisis menggunakan teori deskriptif dalam pelatihan berbicara. Hasilnya menunjukkan didasarkan pada bab dari studi. Hasil analisis adalah dalam bentuk; 1) dari jumlah data yang dikenalpasti, siswa mampu berbahasa Inggris menggunakan metode tata bahasa terjemahan (GTM). 2) menemukan berikutnya adalah bahwa guru dapat menggunakan metode cara miring ketika metode pengajaran memiliki beberapa teknik yang berfungsi untuk memperkuat. 3) guru berfungsi sebagai panduan, organizer, sumber daya dan evaluator. Dalam peran panduan, guru bahasa panduan pelajar untuk belajar bahasa unit di bawah pertimbangan; oleh karena itu, guru menawarkan bahan-bahan belajar ke peserta didik dan membantu mereka untuk memperoleh bahasa target. Dalam peran organizer, guru bahasa mengatur kegiatan kelas. Kesimpulannya, guru harus menggunakan metode yang tepat, tambahan materi dari sumber lain, dan media dalam ajaran pidato untuk mencapai tujuan pengajaran dan proses pembelajaran. Berdasarkan temuan, direkomendasikan bahwa bahasa Inggris para guru harus memiliki cara yang menarik dalam mengajar berbahasa Inggris para guru juga harus menggunakan beberapa media untuk menggunakan metode-metode.
