Abstract
ENGLISH Speech acts are utterances which have action on it. Speech act itself has three elements; locutionary, illocutionary, perlocutionary. This research has two objectives; first, finding out the illocutionary strategies used by Donald Trump in delivering his speech on “Jerusalem”, second, finding out responses in Donald Trump’s speech on “Jerusalem”. The researcher chooses Donald Trump in this research because Donald Trump is a famous president in the world. The object of this research is a transcript which is published by Whitehouse. It is downloaded from the legal site of Whitehouse. The method of data analysis in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data are collected by reading the transcript and by using note taking. This research was conducted in order to find out illocutionary act strategies and perlocutionary act in Donald Trump's speech on "Jerusalem". The result of this research, that is; there are 9 assertives, 9 directives, 3 commissives, 6 expressives, and 5 declarations. The researcher found responses in that speech, there were 4 response; informing, amazing, alarming, condemning. The researcher concluded that assertive and directive are more dominant in Donald Trump's speech on "Jerusalem” and it has affected and got responses from its audience. INDONESIA Tindak tutur adalah ujaran yang memiliki tindakan di dalamnya. Tindak tutur itu sendiri memiliki tiga elemen; lokusi, ilokusi, perlokusi. Penelitian ini memiliki dua tujuan; pertama, mencari strategi ilokusi yang digunakan Donald Trump dalam menyampaikan pidatonya tentang “Yerusalem”, kedua, mencari respons dalam pidato Donald Trump tentang “Yerusalem”. Peneliti memilih Donald Trump dalam penelitian ini karena Donald Trump merupakan presiden yang sangat terkenal di dunia. Objek penelitian ini adalah transkrip yang dipublikasikan oleh Gedung Putih. Objek tersebut diunduh dari situs resmi Gedung Putih. Metode data analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Data-data dikumpulkan dengan membaca transkrip dan mencatatnya. Kemudian, peneliti melakukan analisis untuk mencari strategi-strategi ilokusi dan perlokusi dalam pidato Donald Trump tentang “Yerusalem’. Hasil dari penelitian ini, yaitu; ada 9 asertif, 9 direktif, 3 komisif, 6 ekspresif, dan 5 deklarasi. Peneliti menemukan respon dalam pidato tersebut, yaitu ada 4 respon; menginformasikan, menyambut, mengingatkan, mengutuk. Sementara itu, pidato Donald Trump tentang “Jerusalem” telah mempengaruhi dan mendapatkan respon dari para pendengarnya. Peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa asertif dan direktif lebih dominan dalam pidato Donald Trump tentang “Yerusalem” dan pidato tersebut juga telah mempengaruhi dan memiliki beragam respon dari para pendengarnya.
