Abstract

INDONESIA: Pendidikan Islam di Pesantren Al-Ittifaq Ciwidey dan Pesantren Al-Falah Cicalengka telah mencapai keberhasilan dan bermutu dengan keunikan masing-masing. Al-Ittifaq dengan keunggulan pesantren agrobisnis dan Al-Falah dengan keunggulan sebagai pesantren al-Quran. Di balik pendidikan Islam yang maju, unggul, dan bermutu selalu hadir sosok pemimpin pendidikan yang unggul. Barangkali sulit untuk dapat menemukan pendidikan Islam yang unggul tanpa kehadiran kepemimpinan pendidikan yang unggul. Lalu demikian, kepemimpinan seperti apa yang menjadi kunci keberhasilan pendidikan di kedua lembaga pendidikan Islam tersebut. Berdasar analisa lapangan dan testimoni beberapa tokoh kunci diperoleh benang merah bahwa kunci keberhasilan dan peningkatan mutu pendidikan di Pesantren Al-Ittifaq Ciwidey dan Pesantren Al-Falah Cicalengka sangat ditentukan oleh kepemimpinan pendidikan berbasis spiritualitas KH. Fuad Afandi dan KHQ. Ahmad Syahid. Penelitian ini bermaksud memformulasikan kepemimpinan pendidikan berbasis spiritualitas kedua kiyai pondok pesantren tersebut. Adapun tujuan spesifik penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui: 1) Fondasi dan amaliah kepemimpinan berbasis spiritualitas KH. Fuad Afandi dan KHQ. Ahmad Syahid. 2) karakteristik kepemimpinan berbasis spiritualitas kiyai pondok pesantren. 3) Faktor-faktor dominan yang mendukung dan faktor-faktor kelemahan yang menghambat kepemimpinan pendidikan berbasis spiritualitas kiyai pondok pesantren. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan menggunakan metode fenomenologi, penelitian ini bermaksud mengungkap aspek-aspek manifes dan aspek-aspek laten kepemimpinan pendidikan berbasis spiritualitas kedua kiyai ini. Aspek-aspek manifes yang nampak di permukaan dimaknai secara fenomenologis, sementara aspek-aspek laten yang masih tersembunyi dari kedua kiyai ini dicari kebenarannya secara fenomenologis dan kemudian diberikan pemaknaan. Penelitian ini memperoleh hasil bahwa kunci keberhasilan pendidikan di Pesantren Al-Ittifaq Ciwidey dan Pesantren Al-Falah Cicalengka adalah kepemimpinan pendidikan berbasis spiritualitas. Kepemimpinan pendidikan yang memiliki landasan dan jiwa spiritualitas Islam. Allah sebagai causa prima. Allah sebagai meta konsep dan meta perilaku kepemimpinan. Allah sebagai starting point –titik berangkat dan ultimate point –tujuan akhir kepemimpinan yang diperankan. Kepemimpinan pendidikan yang menjadikan spiritualitas Islam sebagai fondasi, jiwa dan spirit yang mewarnai seluruh perilaku, sifat, dan gaya kepemimpinan yang diperankan mampu mensuplai kekuatan energy ilahiyah dan berkontribusi positif terhadap pencapaian keberhasilan. Mampu menghadirkan inner power bagi seorang pemimpin, sehingga seberat apapun tugas dan pekerjaan akan terasa ringan dan mudah. Memiliki daya tahan kepemimpinan (leadership endurance) yang sangat kokoh karena ia memiliki benteng pertahanan diri yang berlapis dimana Allah sebagai pijakan utamanya, sehingga ia mampu eksis dalam berbagai situasi kepemimpinan yang dihadapi. Radar hati seorang pemimpin berbasis spiritualitas adalah radar hati ilahiyah. Ia memiliki penglihatan, pemahaman dan kesadaran yang lebih baik, lebih tajam, lebih komprehensif, dan lebih bermakna, sehingga mampu menunjang keberhasilan kepemimpinan pendidikan yang diperankan. ENGLISH: Islamic Education in both Al-Ittifaq Ciwidey and Al-Falah Cicalengka boarding schools has successfully implemented and achieves good quality. The schools have their own uniqueness. Al-Ittifaq is excellent boarding school in agribusiness major and Al-Falah is well-known as al-Quranic boarding school. Behind the advanced, excellent, and qualified Islamic education, there always presents the figure of a great educational leader. It may be difficult to find an excellent Islamic education without the presence of an excellent educational leadership. However, the most important matter to address is what kind of leadership that becomes the key success of the education in both boarding schools. Based on the observation and testimony from some of the key figures, it can be concluded that the success and improvement of the education quality in Al-Ittifaq Ciwidey and Al-Falah Cicalengka boarding school are determined by the spiritual-based leadership of KH. Fuad Afandi and KHQ. Ahmad Syahid. This research intends to formulate a leadership of spiritual-based education of those two figures. Specifically, the objectives of the study are to investigate: 1) the foundation of the spiritual-based leadership of KH. Fuad Afandi and KHQ. Ahmad Syahid. 2) the characteristics of Kiyai’s spiritual-based leadership, 3) dominant factors that support and hinder the implementation of the spiritual-based leadership. Conducted under the qualitative approach using phenomenological methods, the study intends to reveal the manifest and latent aspects of the leadership of the two Kiyai’s spirituality-based education. The manifest aspects that appear are defined phenomenologically, while the latent aspects that are hidden are sought for its truth phenomenologically and later are interpreted. The results show that the key to the success of Al-Ittifaq Ciwidey Islamic Boarding School and Al-Falah Cicalengka Islamic Boarding School education is spirituality-based education leadership. It is educational leadership that has the foundation and soul of Islamic spirituality, has Allah as the causa prima, views God as a meta concept and meta leadership behavior, considers God as the starting point and the ultimate point – the goal of the end of the leadership played. The leadership that sets out the spiritual values of Islam as the basic foundation, the soul, the spirit that characterizes all behaviors and the style in used leadership can supply the power of divine energy and contribute to the achievement of success positively. It is capable of bringing the inner power of a leader so that any task and work will be managable and easy. The leader may have strong leadership endurance because he has a stronghold of layered self-defense in which God is set as the main foundation. By this, he is able to survive in a variety of leadership situations. The radar of a spirituality-based leader is the radar of the divine heart. He has better, sharper, more comprehensive, and more meaningful vision, understanding and awareness which support the success of the educational leadership he plays.
