Abstract
INDONESIA Kebutuhan akan cabai merah terus meningkat dari tahun ke tahun hal ini harus diimbangi dengan produksi yang tinggi agar dapat mencukupi kebutuhan cabai merah di pasaran sehingga perlu inovasi teknologi untuk meningkatkan produktivitas cabai merah. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian bohasi jerami dan mulsa organik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman cabai (Capsicum annuum L.) Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Unpad Ciparanje, Jatinangor dari Oktober sampai Januari 2017. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan dua perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah bohasi jerami j0 : tanpa pupuk bohasi jerami padi, j1 : pupuk bohasi jerami padi 5 t ha-1, j2 : pupuk bohasi jerami padi 10 t ha-1 , j3 : pupuk bohasi jerami padi 15 t ha-1. Faktor kedua adalah mulsa organik (m0) : tanpa mulsa, mulsa (m1) : mulsa daun bambu, (m2) : mulsa daun paitan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian bohasi jerami berpengaruh nyata terhadap luas daun, bobot segar berangkasan dan bobot kering berangkasan, bobot segar buah. Pemberian mulsa organik berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman. ENGLISH Demand of red chili increases from year to year which should be followed with higher production in order to meet the demand so that necessary technological innovation to improve the productivity. This study was conducted to determine the effect of paddy straw bohasi and organic mulch on the growth and yield of red chili (Capsicum annuum L.). This research was carried out at Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Padjadjaran from October to January 2017. The study used randomized block design (RBD) with two treatments and three replications. The first factor was the bohasi paddy straw (j0): without Bohasi paddy straw, (j1): bohasi paddy straw 5 t ha-1, (j2): bohasi paddy straw 10 t ha-1, (j3): bohasi paddy straw 15 t ha-1. The second factor was organic mulch (m0): without mulch, mulch (m1): bamboo leaf mulch, (m2): paitan leaf mulch. The results showed that straw bohasi was significant on leaf area, fresh weight and dry weight, fresh weight of fruit. Organic mulching significant effect on plant height.
