Abstract

INDONESIA : Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan awal di SD Cendekia Leadership School yang sudah mengklaim dirinya sebagai sekolah yang cukup lama berpengalaman dalam penerapan pendidikan karakter masih ditemukan beragam permasalahan terkait dengan pendidikan karakter yang meliputi beberapa aspek besar, yakni guru, siswa, orang tua siswa, dan pengelolaan pendidikan yang menggunakan sebuah pendekatan yang disebut Leadership 4H. Dengan mengadaptasikan pendekatan tersebut, beberapa fakta menunjukkan adanya perkembangan yang baik dalam pendidikan karakter siswa, namun disisi lain banyak masalah-masalah timbul dalam ketiga aspek tersebut di atas yang menjadi fokus penting dalam manajemen pendidikan sehingga menjadi perhatian dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran secara keseluruhan mengenai kegiatan nyata dari pelaksanaan manajemen pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar, yakni meliputi perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, serta hasil yang sudah dicapai dari implementasi pendidikan karakter berbasis pendekatan Leadership 4H di SD Cendekia Leadership School. Selain itu pula untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai upaya penanggulangan terhadap faktor-faktor penghambat dan memperkuat faktor-faktor pendukung dalam proses implementasi pendidikan karakter berbasis pendekatan Leadership 4H di sekolah dasar. Kerangka pemikiran dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pendidikan karakter merupakan suatu hal yang paling mendasar dalam kehidupan manusia. Ketika manusia kehilangan karakter maka manusia tidak ada bedanya dengan hewan atau bahkan robot sekalipun. Hal ini tidak berarti bahwa dengan memiliki akal, manusia sudah dipastikan akan berperan dengan baik dan benar dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, melainkan harus adanya pendidikan dan pembinaan sehingga akalnya menjadi berfungsi dengan benar sesuai perannya, baik sebagai mahluk individu maupun mahluk sosial. Dengan demikian, pendidikan karakter perlu dilakukan oleh manusia. Dalam prosesnya, pendidikan karakter perlu dikemas dengan manajemen yang benar, sistematis, dan holistik. Kemudian, pendidikan dasar merupakan kondisi yang sangat kondusif dan tepat bagi anak atau siswa untuk mendapatkan pendidikan karakter. Selanjutnya, kerjasama yang sistematis perlu dibangun diantara warga sekolah dan para siswa dengan sebuah pendekatan yang efektif dalam mencapai tujuan pendidikan yang diharapkan berdasarkan Undang-Undang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional Nomor 20 Tahun 2003. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan metode kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara, studi dokumentasi, dan observasi serta pemeriksaan ulang untuk mendapatkan informasi yang lengkap dan akurat. Metode ini dilakukan dalam kurun waktu efektif empat bulan yang diawali banyak pengamatan dan wawancara beberapa bulan sebelum empat bulan waktu efektif dan dua bulan setelahnya untuk mendapatkan hasil yang akurat dan meyakinkan, termasuk melakukan analisis hasil angket tingkat kepuasaan dari para orang tua siswa. Adapun temuan-temuan yang diperoleh selama penelitian adalah meliputi gambaran umum bahwa SD Cendekia Leadership School sudah melaksanakan manajemen pendidikan karakter yang meliputi perencanaan, implementasi, dan evaluasi secara sistematis berdasarkan kaidah manajemen yang memadai. Pendekatan Leadership 4H merupakan salah satu pendekatan yang dapat diandalkan untuk diaplikasikan dalam pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar meski memerlukan sumber daya dan sarana yang memadai. Pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar adalah masa yang tepat serta menjadi keharusan bagi dunia pendidikan untuk mengelolanya dengan benar. ENGLISH : Based on the results of preliminary observations in SD Scholar Leadership School, which has been claimed to be a school long enough experienced in the implementation of character education still found a variety of problems related to character education that includes some great aspects, namely teachers, students, parents, and education management using an approach called Leadership 4H. By adapting these approaches, some facts indicate a good development in character education of students, but on the other hand many of the problems raised in the three above-mentioned aspects are an important focus in management education so that a concern in this study. This study aims to obtain an overall picture of the real activity of management implementation of character education in primary schools, which include planning, organizing, implementation, evaluation, and results which already achieved from the implementation of character education in primary based on 4H Leadership approaches in Cendekia Leadership School. In addition, also to be informed about the response to the factors inhibiting and strengthen the enabling factors in the implementation process based on 4H Leadership approach to character education in primary schools. The framework of this study is that character education is a most fundamental thing in human life. When humans lose the character of the human being is no different to animals or even robots though. This does not mean that to have any sense, one has been ascertained will act properly in daily life, but must be the education and training so that their minds be functioning properly in accordance role, both as individuals and social beings creatures. Thus, character education needs to be done by humans. In the process, character education needs to be conducted with the right management, systematic and holistic. Then, basic education is a condition that is very conducive and appropriate for children or students to get an education of character. Furthermore, systematic cooperation needs to be established between the school community and students with an effective approach in achieving educational goals expected by the Law on National Education System No. 20 of 2003. In this research, the reseaarcher carried out the qualitative methods by having some interviews, documentation study, and observation as well as the re-examination to obtain complete and accurate information. This method is carried out within a period of four months effective beginning many observations and interview a few months prior to the effective time of four months and two months later to get accurate results and convincing, including analysis of the results of questionnaires the level of satisfaction of the parents. The findings obtained during the research is a general description about Cendekia Leadership Elementary School that has been implementing character education management including planning, implementation, and evaluation systematically based on adequate management principles. 4H Leadership approach is one approach that can reliably be applied in character education in primary school despite require resources and adequate facilities. Implementation of character education in primary schools is the right moment as well as being imperative for education to manage it properly.
